3 mil would be too much

This guy has shown nothing

Our recruitment is so fucking bad FFS

Regardless of Ange or any other managers , nothing will change til we stop spunking money on bang average footballers

I mean maybe with age he goes on and improves, but based on what we’ve seen I wouldn’t buy him for 30 or 50million. What are we actually getting for that money? Where has he actually shown you something where you said “ah ok, that’s what he does”.

I think he had a good game, or maybe half a game in Europe once this season where I started to believe a bit and sat up thinking maybe this is what he brings as he seemed to be having a good game by the standard of his time here so far… but then it just sort of fizzled.

Honestly, more expensive but put the money toward someone like Mbuemo, proven in the league and looks more of a player. Even if he’s a bit older, we need players that can do it now, not more that might do it eventually.

I see a lot of physical attributes and attacking intent in his play that would dominate youth levels of competition and impress coaches and scouts. He's a very "switched on" player.

But he's 20 years old and has 120 senior professional appearances, he's not a novice anymore, and I just did not see the sparks of quality in his play that would tell me he's going to figure it out and make good on the promise.

But then again, a player of his gifts only needs to *kinda* figure it out to become very valuable. This is the exact conversation United had about Anthony Elanga, and Elanga is still more flash and moments than a truly complete footballer, but he's certainly become a strong Premier League performer nonetheless.

Elanga has got pace. Less to figure out

If there was anything thing we could read into the final game against Brighton, it was in the first half before the team stopped running on beer carbs and the tank was empty.

Lots of attacking play was through Tel on the left when possible. Not sure the why, but it was a clear tactic.

His linkup was ok, got in a couple of decent positions around the box through dribbling or movement, and retained the ball ok (not great or elite)
He has quick feet on the dribble and can create space with it.

Considering his age, Sonnies age, and Moore’s age. With half a season to adapt to them Prem , he’s worth a punt.

Are we overpaying, maybe, time will tell, but who could we get on a similar fee/wage that we could bank on been better?

His linkup with Odobert in the French u21’s shows some promise if we can get those 2 synced for us and as wide rotation options, pushing for the first XI, it may just work.

This team needs its starting XI in top form to perform, every man, that’s the competition of the Prem. Not players without enough training post injury, quality numbers will help a lot next season

Tel's an ok player but we're going into the CL. We could pay a lot more and obtain a higher quality player. We won't. But we could. Spending 30m on someone who looks like a 12m player at best is typical Spurs business under Levy.

If we're looking to get anywhere in this competition then we should really be going in guns blazing.

Easy bonuses ... not at this club!!!

:levylol:

On a serious note. I would have pushed for another season loan. 30-45m euros is too much and not sure he improves us.

I still think it will be a loan with an obligation

IMO he will surprise people this season but I’m
always on the optimistic side with most of our players.

The mentality, physicality and technical ability is clearly there, just need a bit of patience

It could be that we sign him and a senior forward then Tel isn’t in the CL squad because of CT and HG issues
