He also asked his son to see if he could find any takers for Bale.
He also slammed us for wasting money when he resigned Chimbonda aware of his knees, brought in Khumalo, Pinnear, Bassong ( for 16 x more than Newcastle paid for him) and Saha. Crouch only scored 12 league goals in 2 seasons, 73 apps ( Soldado has 5 LG's and needs to score 7 more in 37 games to equal that )
He seems to only be comfortable around players that he has already worked with. Hence the buying of Defoe, Kabul, Nico, Crouch etc.
Remember he inherited some good players. The starting 11 that won at Man city to qualify of the CL only had 3 of his signings, Defoe, Crouch and Kaboul. Two of them had already been at the club before - the 3 if you want to get pedantic :):harryhmm:

Redknapp,AVB all history.
Yes some good times under Arry and certainly enjoyed watching some great football but when it mattered most in the big games we always got found out.
When I say big games I mean big.
As for AVB I wasn't a great fan but all things considered he was on a hiding to nothing from the start Imo although I for one felt more time was needed as we are in a constant merry go round.
I just hope poch is given time even if this season amounts to nothing but something upstairs isn't right what ever it may be.
I just hope something happens in January.

Maybe I have a bad memory I remember the opposite, every time we faced chelsea or Woolwich under harry we did ok it was the smaller teams we sometimes fucked up under his reign.

Fair point but when it really mattered.
FA cup semi final.
Real Madrid and can't think of top of my head.
Wasn't against him and enjoyed the football but always thought that he was sometimes a bit of a loose cannon.
All I want is a bit of stability as feel we are just not going to get anywhere keep changing personnel every 5 minutes.

Both AVB and arry are now history.
It's time to move on and let go and let Poch do his job, give him time and be patient.

LVG seems to be giving the likes of Wilson a lot of game time, but positive signs in terms of youth development for us

United have had to resort to playing academy players due to injuries, except for Wilson.

Some of United's young players have been good, does make you think that the way everything is set up hurts young British players, a lot of them do well when asked to play but not many top clubs give them a chance unless an injury crisis hits.

Reckon we could hit 10 by the end of the season?

Might be tricky as the so called "easier games" are pretty much done.

Don't know. Not sure if I could name the 6, or another 4 on top?

1- Townsend
2 - Mason
3 - Kane
4 - Bentaleb?
5 - Rose
6- Winks?

Who else has there been? Doubt they would be counting Walker/Naughton as they were bought for big fees and shouldn't really be classed as academy grads. Bentaleb is an iffy one, as he was signed at 17 so not really what I'd call a bonafide academy lad?

Has Ceballos played competitively this season? I know he was in the friendlies.

Lameiras, Oduwa, McEvoy - the rest (like Carroll) are out on loan

Yeh asking a few question on the youth development thread, we have Bentaleb, Kane and Mason doing well then names such as Pritchard, Carroll, Winks, Onomah, Carter-Vickers, Coulibaly, Coulthirst, Veljkovic, Azzaoui, Keanan Bennetts are all said to be good, don;t know if thats true but bloody hell where did all these great kids come from, we never used to produce lots of young players.

I think it counts any ex-academy players, so Johnny Evans, maybe Januzaj (signed at 16 so not long term academy), Blackett, Wilson, Phil Jones, Michael Keane, Smalling, Fletcher? That's 8 I can think of so far that have played?

King, Crouch, Campbell, Huddlestone, Livermore and Carr are a few that I can think of that are/were PL academy grads?

Edit: Beckham was another youth product we let go
