That's petty...don't worry, we'll perm-sign Kulu to salve your emotional wounds. Tons o'positive to look forward to over in these parts...

...that said, I look forward to Poch's return to the league and wish his nothing but the success he earns and deserves.

Not managing that lot with there racists nuckledragging neanderthal fans. I hope he's sacked in September

It's official.......he's bloody well gone and done it....... A small part of me never thought it would happen.

:pochcry: :pochcry::pochcry::pochcry:

Like all my exes.......he's dead to me now.

Chelsea can go fuck themselves

It is what it is, we had two ex Chelsea managers, he has a difficult job on his hands.
You forgot Hoddle and AVB. Venables and George Graham had Chelsea credentials too. As did Jimmy Greaves.

Football is football.

Poch turned down Woolwich which is good enough for me.

It's sad that he's gone to them but it doesn't devalue what he did with Spurs and I really do believe Poch will always have a connection to Spurs.

You watch Chelsea remind him of that as time goes by.

Should I remind you that Sissoko was one of the best midfielders at that time with the ball at his feet and Winks was one of the brightest prospects of English football
We went to the CL final in 2019...no one believed any of this at that time. And beyond that, it would have been a fringe opinion to think this about either of these players at any time in their careers.

Don't remember our fans kicking black people off tube trains or making gas chamber noises or singing offensive holocaust songs.
Those are just instances caught on mic/camera...sure, appalling but more an indictment of English football culture than any specific team. How does one reliably quantify which club is more racist? And at the business end does it matter? In the not very distant past all would have been considered as such, right? So perhaps they retain a particularly shitty bunch but that doesn't mean we don't have them too...which was my point, glass houses.

But I'm sure AF not here to defend Chelsea supporters. My point was that you were using their perceived racism as a stick with which to beat Poch. I'd say start with Sterling, Fofana, Badiashile, Silva, etc etc etc all of whom have decided to play for those racists...and if they have then I can't really fault Poch on that note.

I am gutted that this has come to pass, and apart from Woolwich, this is the one team I just can't stomach him going to. I have lost a lot of affection for him now, and it will be totally gone if he is successful with them. And I will put a lot of the blame on the board for not even considering him for our vacancy, especially if we get Rogers. It might be the straw that breaks my back.
Sad, sad day :(

Sorry, I have been going to spurs for the best part of 40 years and not seen 1 racist incident involving spurs fans. Chelsea fans or the southern branch of the EDL as I like to call have been involved in countless incidents.
I am angry that a man who says he loves Spurs would join Chelsea. Apart from the gooners he must know how we feel about them. That's why I hope he falls flat on his face and gets fired

Utter bullshit.

This snippet about Poch wanting to discipline PSG's prima donnas and not being backed has the ring of truth.

Boehly has presumably given Poch assurances he will backed in disciplinary matters but a 2-year contract makes Poch very vulnerable.

Especially since, like us, the chavs have a bloated squad and no European games to share around playing time.

------------------

[At PSG, Poch] never got on with the sporting director Leonardo. On numerous occasions, it was reported that he wanted to punish senior members of the squad for breaches of discipline, only to be dissuaded from doing so by the board. Once his authority was breached, it arguably never returned. And while player power is not the same force at Chelsea that it was a decade ago, this has always been a dressing room with a strong ruthless streak.
