Todd is notoriously hard of thinking.
I totally am, John. And as such, considering the very many kisses I've gotten from you today I can only assume I've been way off about Poch. I was under the impression that since he wasn't a winner we should be happy he's going there? No chance of them winning anything, right? I should imagine you'd be one of the more phlegmatic posters here...considering you were also one of the loudest and drum-bangiest of the bunch to remove him and get in a real coach.

Wishing him well is wishing Chavs well, the two are interlinked.

Furious Tottenham fan BURNS book about Mauricio Pochettino's time at Spurs following Argentine's move to Chelsea... as supporter brands ex-boss 'a f***ing turncoat'

  • Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has agreed a two-year deal with Chelsea
  • Pochettino spent five years with Tottenham but failed to win a trophy at the club

A seething Tottenham fan responded to the announcement of Mauricio Pochettino’s instalment in the Chelsea dugout by burning a copy of the book written to commemorate his time in North London.
Months of speculation surrounding the vacant post at Stamford Bridge came to an end on Monday afternoon when Chelsea confirmed the ex-Spurs boss would be leading their sizeable rebuild.
It proved to be too much for one Spurs fan who resorted to burning his copy of Guillem Balague’s bestseller, ‘Brave New World’, which was released in 2017 and examines Pochettino’s remarkable revolution at the club.

The fan took to Twitter to broadcast his literary barbecue, posting the message: ‘How’s this for a barbecue you f***ing turncoat?’.

Ironically the tweet that precedes the burning of the book dates back to March 11, where he can be seen reacquainting himself with the text.

'Giving this bad boy another read,' the supporter had wrote. ‘I’d lost my old copy and found that the new version has a section on the lead-up to the [Champions League] final. Bonus.’

It’s unlikely this particular supporter was alone in exhibiting some anger towards the man who was at the helm at Spurs for five years.

While at Spurs, the club reached heights unseen in the last two decades as they reached a Champions League final and finished in the top four in four of his five full seasons in charge.

Pochettino, who got his first taste of silverware as a manager with PSG, was welcomed to Stamford Bridge in a club statement on Monday following weeks of rumours about who would ultimately replace Graham Potter as permanent boss.

'Mauricio’s experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character will serve Chelsea Football Club well as we move forward,' it read.

‘He is a winning coach, who has worked at the highest levels, in multiple leagues and languages. His ethos, tactical approach and commitment to development all made him the exceptional candidate.'

The 51-year-old has joined the Blues on a two-year deal which is set to get underway on July 1 when he will become the club’s sixth permanent manager in five years.

Should he work the kind of magic he did with Tottenham, where he was hamstrung by financial constraints, Chelsea may yet see dividends from their unprecedented £600m outlay last season.

And Tottenham fans would have to endure the pain of seeing their old boss thrive at their bitter rivals while their own future remains unclear.

I was about to say, this right here is absolute foolishness considering it only serves to provide ammo to our rival fanbases (just check the replies if anyone wants confirmation)...

And then, even worse, it gets picked up on by the rags that need to fill column inches during the summer:

Given his time on Twitter, doing a podcast, etc, TehTrunk should have known better. Then again, it gets clicks/social media clout innit.

Yeh, none of these fuckers care.... If they ever were, they ceased to be supporters some time ago.

Personally, I am ignoring the fact has signed for that bunch of cunts. I will pause my love of him while he dances with the devil. My unrelenting hated of the Chavs will not diminish, I’ll just ignore who the guvnor is. And hopefully he leads them to the championship.

Sure, there are positive implications for Chelsea from any potential Poch success...so your suggestion is a second betrayal? Did we not learn from the first betrayal that put these wheels in motion? Only so many PL jobs available and he's gotta work. If we would have supported the manager back then perhaps he'd have ridden out the season on a higher note just like Klopp did this season.

But my understanding was that he wasn't a winner so the move was further justified. And it is that point that I'm directing to you. Even if one was to wish him well (and humanity is anathema apparently), he's a shit loser that is only going to take them down anyway so we should rejoice. I mean, if Nuno rocked up at the Emirates I'm not sure there would be anything that would prevent the party that would go on in here. WE got rid of the loser and now they can suffer with the guy that couldn't even win the league with Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar.
, you're actually coming across as quite thick.
...as is often the case.
