Every fucking club this summer, bar Newcastle because their owner is Shocking, spent money making the team better. We did fuck zero. We could be relegated and some would still nod yes to mister levy. Those clubs did not buy players because they care about the fans tho. They bought players because they saw it as profitable for them at the time.

Not a single professional club buys a player because the fans will like it. Once you are on a boardroom level it becomes about the numbers.

This is not a defense of not buying players in the summer. But I just find the idea that they did not buy players because they "don't care about us" to be silly. The club did not buy any players because they did not see any financial value in going through with any deals that were on the table.

Again more revisionist nonsense - we have been a team good enough to win a UEFA cup, FA cup, league cup since 05. Nothing has changed in that regard but just like Redknapp he hasn’t delivered any of that despite the players he has available.

We weren't finishing 3rd, 2nd or 3rd under any other manager though were we? ONLY him in the last 34yrs have we even utter the words title challenge. Only ONE man responsible for that and that's Pochettinho.

1984/85, 1986/87 & 1989/90 we finished 3rd. I don't recall a single word spoken apart from 86/87 about us challenging for the title and that year really people were saying this because we were on for a treble, we were 17 points of Everton, nowhere close to winning a title. So, these words haven't realistically been uttered in my life-time as a supporter.

You can't be seriously suggesting that you uttered those immortal words "title contenders" when we had AVB or Sherwood managing the side, I mean those players you identified were in the side then, right? So if you are talking about revisionism then I suggest you look in the fucking mirror.

You haven't explained how we lost because Vorm was in goal, that he was the reason. Dying to hear this....

Funny because we are above 14 of them. Two of them are direct rivals......yet its money well spent on their part?
Or is it only Spurs who are conclusively judged after 5 games, three of which were wins?

Hold on - what?

Real Madrid signed Danilo in 15/16, Morata the next year, Curtois and around 90m worth more this season (130m+ total this year alone)

Altetico signed Costa for 60m and Vitolo for around 35m last year
