Player Mikey Moore

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We live in a world where someone starts a rumour / downright lie to cause mischief and it escalates / goes viral and it becomes gospel.
I just hope he's OK with whatever it is and the Club are looking after him (but with our medical team, I'm keeping everything crossed!).

I’ve no idea what the rumour was but I suspect it was started by some kind of attention seeking prat.

Ange said it’s nothing serious in the press conference today.

I think it's got to the stage now where the club needs to provide clarity on what 'the issue' is. GF can take several months or more to recover from so it should be said.

Here's a 'hot' take.... It's not important that the fans know specifically........... At the end of the day all we want is him to come back...... Knowing won't accelerate that process.

....And (like with injuries) if the player isn't back in the stated time-frame, the knives will come out and people will just shit on the medical team; so why should they open themselves up to fruitless BS?

There are risks either way. There are a lot of possible sources for leaks - why not move quickly and control the narrative? Controlling such info isn't good for the fan experience and journos will inevitably ask a lot of questions about it.

?

He said Moore will be back at the turn of the year so probably Jan and Yang will come in in Jan as well - he made reference to other players he's signed for Asia and they've been ready to contribute as they're match fit despite their season finishing.
On Moore:

"He's part of what we're doing, and he'll be back in the next few weeks, but again he's missed a lot of football. So whether we bring him back the first team or he needs to play [for the U21s], we've got to bear in mind that he's 17."

Moore was already looking out-matched in the PL and only featured because of our injury crisis. With this long lay off and Ange at pains to bang on about his age he will be protected even more and play nothing more than a bit-part role for the remainder of the season assuming he recovers well (we all know Ange's recovery timelines should be taken with a pinch of salt).

On Yang:

"Again, the flip side of that is with Yang, 18-year-old coming from a totally different part of the world, different league and it's a massive step then say Archie doing it from Championship to Premier League, so we have to be mindful of what impact we expect from someone like that."

So a much bigger step than Gray who doesn't start PL games. Yang won't get a sniff this season.

Our depth in attack is non-existent.

On January 1st we are likely to have this lot to pick from:

LW: Son, Werner
CF: Solanke, Lankshear
RW: Johnson

Indeed, and we don't have the right to know a player's personal medical issue unrelated to football.

That came from the club to placate fans that a move for a CM wasn't happening. They spent 1st team money on Gray because they fully believe by the time he's a locked in starter at CM, he will be worth more than we pay. The issue is they needed to keep fans on board whilst that happens. IMO

What they should have done is make fund and wages available for both.

And after all that, over the next 2 months, Gray and Bergvall could easily win a starting role in our MF.
