Overview of Application
This planning application now proposes amendments seek to increase the total number of Major Non Association Football Events (more than 10,000 people) from
16 (the cap granted for stadium build) to 30 and for the cap on music events to be removed entirely. Additional caps would be introduced to the total number of boxing events (2), consecutive events in a row (4) and number of events in a week (5), with a further cap on the frequency of 5 events in a week would also be capped at 2 for the year.
Effect on Residents local to the Stadium
The increase of events is anticipated to have significant socio-economic benefits, including a total GVA contribution of £344m in the tri-borough area in 2021/22, consisting of both onsite and offsite activity which, after careful consideration and rigorous consultation with key stakeholders is considered to outweigh the potential harm caused through disruption to the local community.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Committee authorise the Head of Development Management or the Assistant Director of Planning, Building Standards & Sustainability to GRANT planning permission subject to the conditions and informatives set out below and the completion of an agreement satisfactory to the Head of Development Management or the Assistant Director of Planning, Building Standards & Sustainability securing the obligations set out in the Heads of Terms below following referral to the Mayor of London
NB. There is new/amended s106 agreement to give funds to local community

Stadium events are a major driver of revenues and profits through rentals to organisers, food and drink sales, a share of merchandise etc.
Equally these events promote the stadium name, Tottenham Hotspur stadium, to promote brand recognition, and in turn this will drive the value of sponsorships etc.
So if granted, this will increase the 'pot' available for player transfers, youth footballer development etc
