Villa got battered 5-1 last season,
City failed to beat them there two seasons ago (won the league). And needed a 91st minute winner last season.
That's not often.
Using City and Liverpool as a benchmark is all well and good, but there's also a reason those are the only two teams who have won the Premier League since Conte's Chelsea 7 years ago.
Newcastle away, especially under Howe is not an easy game nor does it define a season. Losing there doesn't define where we finish. Anything more would be a bonus.

Newcastle haven’t looked that good in these two games of the season, however I expect them to give us a good game. I hope Postecoglou has identified bits of what went wrong last season when we got spanked at their place. We need to put in a good performance to look forward to the next games (well next game is Arse gulp) and nick a point.

We struggle there psychologically because it’s St James’ Park, a shit journey and they are very good with direct ball football at home.
They had injuries galore last year but we didn’t take chances then they ripped through us anyway.
Well he's certainly better than having to play Kelly or Krafth at CB if you're Newcastle.
I've already put this down as a loss regardless. Anything else is a bonus. I just hope we atleast give it a go unlike the last two years.
Weirdly this season they seem to be less effective on the break and most dangerous with crosses this year. So far at least.
Feels like a huge game for Porro and Udogie.
Last year Isak caught us out with the press too. Get through the first 10-15min without a mistake playing out and we are in pretty good shape with our build up this year.
My confidence will differ depending on the front thee we put out tbh.
