On this, I have to disagree, B-C.

Watching Donna Cullen patting Levy in sympathy as the crowd chanted "Daniel Levy get out of our club", and his grim visage, makes me suspect he's panicking & hiding in a boardroom cupboard.

Levy & Munn wanted JN, but refused to give him the structure & control he is demanding.

They wanted Slot, but didn't do proper due diligence about the fee Feyonoord would insist upon (if we believe the official narrative), & have been very publicly humiliated.

They didn't want Poch, hence his departure for the chavs.

They don't want Gallardo, allegedly because his English isn't good enough at this stage to be considered.

They're doubtless scared of a big, control freak, ego like Luis Enqrique after the Mourinho & Conte clusterfucks.

So the list is probably down to the Aussie, Rodgers, Potter, Mason & Fat Sam. And they're trying to gauge fan reaction to any of that bunch.

Levy can hire as many DoFs as he likes. It's all irrelevant because he insists on meddling in every single transfer, & on buying players the coach doesn't want (eg Jack Clarke under Poch, Spence under Conte).

I don't believe there's any meaningful process going on. Just sheer panic as Levy has nightmares of Freddie Krueger appearing out of the crowd to stalk him....

I’m pretty sure that was Levy’s wife.

If they were half arsed about it they could have had Nagelsmann by just agreeing to his choice of DOF (if true).

Poch has been begging Levy for a sympathy shag for months and getting nowhere.

Slot himself has now said there was no concrete offer to him or Feynoord.

There are lots of ways they could have made a balls up of this more quickly.

Let’s see. I reckon they won’t announce a head coach before they’ve got a DOF lined up and made sure they are compatible - at least in theory.

Either way, the DOF is the more important remit for me, so I really hope they get that right this time.

I would be very surprised if Donna Cullen was making the DOF + manager hiring decisions.

She's in the room, and her opinion/input at a macro-level is obviously sought out, but she's a corporate + financial executive, specializing in public relations/public affairs and corporate/branding partnerships/synergy.

Evaluating manager or player performance is not her wheelhouse.

Specialising in public relations/public affairs
She is doing a bang up job 😂

I was told yesterday she was 100% the reason we could not go back for Poch. Levy he can make peace with Cullen set Jose train in motion and the firing of Pochettino. She drank the Jose Kool Aid completely and was instrumental in pushing Levy to bin Poch...he had not forgotten.
Why would her being big on Jose mean we wouldn't go in for Poch now (I don't even want him back, but not sure I understand the connection)?

Why doesn’t he sack her then, if she is the main one who has pushed all these errors surely he would say bye

How is he outstanding? 2 points in 6 matches in the CL, finishing bottom of their group below Shaktar Donesk. Winning the scottish league with celtic is not a big deal if theyve been winning it almost every single year anyway.

Really really hope we dont get him. We are really shit right now, but that is just throwing in the towel, almost as bad as appointing Mason.

It's so funny because what Gerrard did is more impressive than Ange. And what Rodgers did too, he had them unbeaten.

Yet the hipsters want us to think that the level of league doesn't matter. Like fuck it doesn't, it is Scotland. He may well be 'great' but they don't know that at all yet because he's not been proven at a half decent level of coaching.

Again, someone who hangs on every word sky and the football managersim have taught him

Tbh mate, your post reeks of arrogance and small mindedness..His team in this year's CL consisted of players who were playing their first euro campaigns and the performances were a lot better than the results showed..The Greatest English manager of the last 30years, Harry Redknapp says Ange is the man for the job..but I guess an internet pundit knows more than him....
Not arrogance, it is silly to think a team that consistently wins the league of scotland with the likes of Neil Lennon, some ronny character, brendan rodgers, etc as managers shouldnt win with someone else. If/ when the postit guy goes, your club will still win the scottish league with ted lasso. Winning the scottish league is really not a big deal at all.

It would be incredibly small time of us to want a manager who got 2 points out of the 18 in the CL.

Oh, do shut up pretending you have higher knowledge.

It's just basic common sense to say not every coach who is promising in Scotland or Asia is fit to coach a potential top 4 side in England. The list of successful coaches in Scotland is hilarious, go have a fucking read of it.

He MIGHT be great. But it's a risk. Rodgers is far more proven than this man - FA cup, two 5th placed finishes with Leicester, 2nd place with Liverpool, very well coached Swans team. Btw his Celtic team played good football, got 106 point w/106 goals scored and went unbeaten in Scotland. But yeah, dick ride Ange for 96 points.

(Also Gerrard's Rangers had some huge scalps in Europe, unbeaten, 102 points. Totally clueless at Villa. There are fucking LEVELS to football, the same as Edouard in Scotland was a top striker vs bench-warmer at Palace.)

Classic levy now managing to shift the blame onto another board member when it’s him all along. Surely nobody is falling for that. It’s all utter bollocks anyway.

Friendly cup of coffee and a chat , ok then

Just renewed season tickets , I knew I would give in eventually . So next season we will be managed by one of Crocodile Dundee , Brenton or Mason by the looks of things . This might be the worst investment I have ever made , at least when investing before I thought it might work out. I knew this was a terrible decision I will regret as I did it

Damn you Spurs
"Call that a World Class training facility? THIS is a World Class training facility..."

Appointing a manager isnt an exact science. Trophies won previously are quite often an irrrlevance, its about getting the right person at the right time and cliche though it is, its about the fit.

Before coming to us Martin Jol had been coach at Roda JC and RKC Waalwijk. He'd won 1 Dutch cup in his 8 years as manager , but he was good for us. It was fun. Harry Redknapp had been schlepping around the arse end of the league with West Ham and Pompey, again 1 cup win. Appointed to keep us up, no more but exceeded expectations.

Most of us turned our noses up at Eddie Howe 2 years ago, he didnt even get a mention. Nuno should have been ok on paper, finished 6th and 7th with Wolves, quite impressive but he and his football were just dour.

Isn't she the one caught on camera saying "this is shit" to Levy during a game? Seems to me she's got more nous on football evaluation than most at the club...

I’m not saying anything particularly for or against Ange, I really don’t know enough about him, but whatever way we slice it he would have to be viewed as one of the more risky appointments. But whatever we do, making a decision based on Harry Redknapp’s advice is not something we should be doing . Harry gets somethings right and a lot wrong. The trouble is when he’s called in as the rent a quote for Talkshite and others, he has selective memory loss for some of the previous recommendations he’s made , but remembers in great detail his “told ya so” moments when he’s right. Let’s not forget (Harry will in no time) his ringing endorsement of Frank for the Chavs job, saying he will be perfect for the job as he knows the players and the club inside out and will get them into winning ways. Not just once, but on both times Frank was appointed.
