Not really, Phil Brown is way better.
I would like to hand our club over to Bielsa. Reading about the seminars he does all over the world is fascinating. He clearly thinks about the game from the youth level. Wants to play front foot. Him getting sacked from Leeds was silly by them. I read he was going to take the Everton job only if he could coach the the U-21s for the rest of the year with his staff coaching the senior team before taking over next year. He’s older but if he gets tired of coaching in a few years he can be our director.

Curious as to what people would think if this scenario happened - we string a good run of results and our football quality improves, something like last season. We finish top 4 and Conte would agree a contract extension at the end of the season. Would you support another season of Conte or he needs to be cut off no matter what?
For me patience would be the key thing, I just don't know if our fanbase has that with this particular manager and style of football. This chopping of managers isn't really working and it would be nice if both parties as in the board and Conte can come to some sort of reasonable agreeable future.
I think what is irritating me with Conte is his general demeanour. I mentioned on another thread there are elements to our game that I like and when It does click we play well. Alot of comes down to whether we can really get these superstar players in to suit the manager.
If Conte left I wouldn't be bothered however if he stayed I wouldn't be cross.
The Conte agreeing to an extension is the most unlikely part of this scenario, but even then it’s a no for me.
If it did, I wouldn’t sit around every day just railing against him but I’m 100% done with him. He’s always talked about himself as someone at arms length with the club, never fully embraced it, and has frankly shit on the club every chance he’s had. It has never been a good match from the very start and both parties would be insane to want another year of this.
The problem I have with Conte, is that he only manages to get the team performing when we’re down to one competition, playing once a week. It seems to have been a trend at other clubs too that he can only prioritise 1 competition.
Essentially, if he stays another year, I just can’t see it being any different to the last 2 seasons, we’ll only see good performances come Feb/March. He suggests that for Tottenham, finishing in the Top 4 is a ‘trophy’ that it’s our only realistic achievement in a season, which I’d imagine for him isn’t enough.
His treatment of certain players has been extremely poor. Danjuma and Spence have pretty much been publicly humiliated by him, being labelled as “club signings”. It’s not entirely his fault, the club really should be buying players that he specifically wants, but I can also see why they don’t want to commit to buying players he wants, when there’s no guarantee he has a future with us.
