Howe was relegated with Bournemouth…

Are you writing off all their achievements because of one shit season, where a lot of strange things have happened to be honest.
Bournemouth are a very small club punching above their weight, Leicester have all the infrastructure to be a mid table Prem club.

Howe was at the start of his journey, Rodgers is well into his and possibly peaked a few seasons back.

If Rodgers comes in and Kane goes, we will finish bottom half.

I generally don't understand the lack of linked clubs for Marcelo Gallardo, only recently linked to PSG but other than that was linked to Club America in Mexico.

I always find it funny that people dismiss Ange or Slot because of wins in their weaker domestic league yet Gallardo has this high praise for winning stuff with THE most successful club in Argentina football.

You would hope that this seasons shit show pulled with him getting abuse from the stands would be enough. He is in danger of entering Kenwright territory next season where our fans simply won’t let him attend games.

This next month the pressure is going to be almost unbearable for him - if it’s Rodgers then the bald fuck has had it
He still won't leave. He'll just either not attend games or watch from a suite.

He still makes millions regardless of where we finish.

If Feyenoord wanted 15 million to release Slot, then I’m sure Celtic ( arguably a bigger club) would surely want a similar fee?
Which would make you think the slot deal breaking down was about something else or that levy is playing 3d chess and has another manager in mind all along?
Postecoglou is on a 12 month rolling contract. If there is any compensation i'm guessing it would be minimal.

This is not some sort of masterplan or 3d chess from Levy. I mean i know it looks so incompetent that you think he must have a plan but the evidence is there from 2 years ago to say its just seat of the pants chaos.

When they both become the most successful managers ever for their respective clubs and have a statue outside their stadium maybe you can compare.

Apparently the compensation they can ask for JN ends after the season.

The only hope to cling to is that they have secretly been making a deal with Nagelsmann for when that period ends and that was why they distanced themselves from him.

Would also make some sense of Slot breaking down so fast without any negotiation even getting started.

IF and it’s the biggest if ever, we’d have to give Levy some credit for having a plan all along and being prepared to take the vitriol.

I would love that to be true but seriously doubt it is

But it shouldnt be, Levy isn't a fool he must have learnt from the Nuno event
but it appears he hasnt
he knew Conte was going in the summer so there must have been a manager or managers they were think about,

He also had the second longest tenure or any River Plate manager in history...

I imagine you put someone in charge of the biggest club in Scotland for 8 years and they'd win more than one league title.

Levy most likely thinks that managers will line up to work in London. And on some level that is true.

It is a global metropolis and we do have some of the best infrastructure in club football combined with paying well. That should be appealing to almost every manager on the planet. But he seems completely unaware of how his own behaviour scares potential managers off.

Or like Cranston suspects, ENIC are trying to get out and thus don't want to committ money towards a new big name project until the sale is finalized.

I wasn’t being serious about the 3d chess. Levy wouldn’t even have the brains for draughts !

You would have thought so but it appears not to be the case. He never learns from mistakes. There is just a general lack of planning in anything football related. He might not be a fool in most things but you have to say in football related matters that is exactly what he's become.

In a manager search you should have maybe 2 or maximum 3 names, find out behind the scenes if they're viable and do whatever it takes to get them. Wheras he just seems to move with the wind.
