FWIW, I don't think it'll be Postecoglou (reckon he'll end up at another Premier League club), but the guy's CV and upwards career trajectory is impressive. He's knocking it out of the park everywhere he's hired.

Plus, he emigrated to Australia by boat with his family from Greece when he was 5 year-old, you'll never sing that.

It's happening again isn't it.

Everyone will be fully on board with Postman Coglou by next week and then he's signing a new contract at Celtic.

ridiculous comparison. Both of them coached and won in the PL. Ange got relegated in the damn Australian league. Fucking hell we may as well as go in for Bob fucking Bradley

It's not a ridiculous comparison at all. If we went for de Zerbi summer 2021 and got him off the back for a 30 odd percentage win ratio at Sassuolo, you'd be spouting the same bollocks.

And no, we shouldn't go for Bob Bradley because he's a terrible coach. Watching his football shows you that.

I know it might be a hard concept to understand. But you realise there is more to coaching than what a manager has won right?

Tell me this, and please be honest, since you've started supporting Spurs, when did you find yourself at the happiest? And what did we win under said manager?

Poch for sure and I’m not one if these that thinks we need to win trophies to be satisfied. But I just don’t think this guy is the answer to making us a consistent top 4 team.

On this, I have to disagree, B-C.

Watching Donna Cullen patting Levy in sympathy as the crowd chanted "Daniel Levy get out of our club", and his grim visage, makes me suspect he's panicking & hiding in a boardroom cupboard.

Levy & Munn wanted JN, but refused to give him the structure & control he is demanding.

They wanted Slot, but didn't do proper due diligence about the fee Feyonoord would insist upon (if we believe the official narrative), & have been very publicly humiliated.

They didn't want Poch, hence his departure for the chavs.

They don't want Gallardo, allegedly because his English isn't good enough at this stage to be considered.

They're doubtless scared of a big, control freak, ego like Luis Enqrique after the Mourinho & Conte clusterfucks.

So the list is probably down to the Aussie, Rodgers, Potter, Mason & Fat Sam. And they're trying to gauge fan reaction to any of that bunch.

Levy can hire as many DoFs as he likes. It's all irrelevant because he insists on meddling in every single transfer, & on buying players the coach doesn't want (eg Jack Clarke under Poch, Spence under Conte).

I don't believe there's any meaningful process going on. Just sheer panic as Levy has nightmares of Freddie Krueger appearing out of the crowd to stalk him....

That was his wife!

Bloke takes no backwards step

..."He was replaced as coach in February 2007 after Australia failed to qualify for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. After his departure as coach of the Australian youth teams,[16] Postecoglou worked as a football pundit for Fox Sports and as an elite consultant to Football Federation Victoria.

Feeling that his much-publicised argument with Foster had made him unemployable, Postecoglou coached Panachaiki in the Greek third division, and Whittlesea Zebras back in Melbourne, while running coaching clinics in the city.[17]"...

What a righteous dude. The more I learn about this guy, the more I like. 👍

Don't want either. Harvey Barnes would be nice though
My point is that ENIC's strategy is to assemble a squad that is capable of Europa League with the possibility of flirting with the Champions League, but not getting into a relegation scrap. The most important aspect of this is to keep the overall wage bill at a level that allows Levy to pay himself 10 million a year.

What they don't want is an inflated overall wage bill to pursue trophies with a squad of players on decent wages.

A decent, under payed starting 11, like we had with Poch, is as good as it gets with ENIC.

£10m a year?!

Nice work for failure.

No wait, Beyonce is coming and we're getting a go kart track!

Somebody married Levy????

:levywtf:

Seeing as he's on £10m a year I should think so.

Thinking of trying my luck at being the future ex-Mrs Levy.

And Poch came to us on the back of leaving a team in a relegation zone and a 35% win ratio at another Premier League club mate.

It doesn't matter what a managers won. Sure, it can help but it's not the be all and end all. Especially when by watching with your eyes you can tell a good coach.

We all saw Pochettino was a fine coach by watching his Southampton side. He also lost to Tim Sherwood twice before coming here.

Ange is a good coach. Would he get us consistent top four? That's all going to depend on the signings we lay down. Regardless of manager really. But what you will get is a team that plays great football, a likeable squad and coach and hopefully can help lay down the foundations to push us forward as a club if he's NOT the guy going forward but hopefully restores some credibility to the club so that we're not failing to get up and coming managers like Slot in future.

He didn't, he had Southampton upper midtable in the premier league if memory serves correctly.
