Calling Seri A "meh" makes one wonder about your football knowledge.
1 team in the CL final (2 in the semi, 3 in the q-finals) and Napoli kicked Liverpool's ass in the CL group stage and was regarded as one of the best teams in Europe this season (that just finished). And one may mention Roman in the Europa league final.
Spaletti, Gasperini, Inzaghi, Allegri, Sarri, Mourinho, are all head coaches that have achieved much more success than most present EPL can certainly more than match the present EPL coaches ability-wise.
Not all see it as a sideway step to coach Napoli rather than, say, Spurs.

Yeah well done, they've had a good year and you can name as many isolated results as you want, it doesn't chance the fact that it's not a top league, none of these managers you mentioned are top coaches either, they currently reside in the Premier League.

Regardless of that let's not remove the context...what up and coming coach who has his pick of top jobs ends up in Serie A?

been saying since Ange started getting talked about
this smells to me as if Levy is looking to max out tourist fan money, ange knows the asian market as does Munn and with out CL money Levy wants a new money stream what's better than a new couple of "Sonny's" from the Asian football area
these tourest fan seem happy to costs of seats and spend £100's in club shop on match days, if that what it takes to keep money rolling in well Levy will take it
All this is going to happen by appointing Postecoglou? He is a manager, you know, not a marketing expert.

It all points to Ange with Munn involved, tour to Australia and Celtic’s season finishing this weekend.
If it is him he’ll get my full backing but how on Earth can we not throw everything at Nagelsmann. He ticks every single box. He’s young and hungry, been successful, his teams are excellent to watch and are aggressive and quick.
We have definitely missed the boat on him.
Can we stop the narrative that JN ticks every box? It may appear so, but there is so much about him we do not know that may be a show-stopper. I know it will make for a dull discussion to just sit back wait to see who is appointed and how they fare, but we are really operating with very incomplete information here.

No it isn't! What are you on about lmao, you are really struggling with this aren't you. 😆
Funny how these red flags , that are only a hunch seem to vex the ENIC defenders way more than the Mount Everest sized red flag on Paratici . A red flag that was not a hunch but a massive

Yet Danny boy hired him anyway

I do see a trend. You never have anything positive and constructive to say.
Would you rather he said positive stuff just for the sake of it? Even though there is fuck all to be positive about right now?

That mentality makes zero sense.

When/If we ever get a manager or DoF and a few signings then people might have some positives to speak of, not until then.

He doesn't say anything positive even when there is something to be positive about.

Ah, why do I bother...

It would be the underwhelming appointment that I expected.
Our owners are not geared up towards success, only increasing their property portfolio and revenue streams, as this type of appointment would show.
Nothing we can do, the club is run by sneaky cunts, so expect it from them, hopefully some fans enjoy the Ossie style football.

You know how the ENIC defenders all spout the "it'll never be as bad as the 90s" line?
I think we may all end up agreeing that Ange "will never be as bad as the Nono appointment"
He was a nobody fully known for shit football.
Double whammy WTF appointment that only the wierdest of people were ever on board with.
At least Ange is a complete shot in the dark. He at least wants to play football the right way.
Whether it works will only ever be known after the event.

And Richard Arlison Richard Arlison Rodgers is way better than Nono

Everyone will have to give him the backing, which I'm sure he will get 😂
Luckily my expectations are set to zero with the club, so a mid table finish won't be unexpected, good luck to him as he will need it.

Don't have to back anyone. I won't be singing Ange out etc, but if next season kicks off with us getting battered left right and center, we'll know the guys not doing what he was brought to do.
Even if he has the same squad, because we all know any new coach needs to demand a higher caliber of player.

We hopefully won’t appoint either of them.

I respect what you are saying, I just meant that both levy and the fans will need to support him.
But yes, I don't expect much at all, the team needs a lot of work, with a manager that hardly sets the pulse racing.
No managerial appointment works under our set up, this won't be any different, unless levy says aim for sixth and do your best.
He will lose some players possibly Harry, especially as he wants to be successful, which is not a spurs thing.
What players he gets will also be subject to a jumble sale.
