Apologies, you are correct. They finished 3rd in his only season there, Western Sydney Wonderers topped the league and Central Coast Mariners won the finals.
Cannot understand any argument for this guy ahead of Luis Enrique but he seems like he’s our man so will get behind up fully, just can’t shake the feeling he’s gonna be sacked by December.
Spending more than the other teams means very little. It’s not as if he’s bought £100million players. He spent more on players last season that all the SPL combined.
Sure, he's the King of coaches, the Pep of Scotland.

Enrique might be looking for a payday; perhaps asking similar money to Conte et al (although slightly less).I can’t say why Ange would be ahead of Enrique but I can see plenty of reasons to be cautious of him. He’s only ever had success with Messi, his brand of football can be stale and reminiscent of AVB-ball, his last club job was a super club with huge money, he will bring huge expectations which we know Levy cannot measure up to.
If you set expectations low, it’s easier to exceed them. That’s Levy’s thinking and always has been.
Why hire Mourinho and Conte then?I can’t say why Ange would be ahead of Enrique but I can see plenty of reasons to be cautious of him. I too would really want to join a company where I get paid massive wages and have moderate expectations, and if I don’t achieve them - I’ll get a massive payment to fuck off.I don't get it either, and I like Ange. Especially when Romano said that Enrique really wants to come here, despite how this season has went.
We'll just have to hope that they know something that we don't, or that they get it right by accident.

I don't think its that simple. Managers want to succeed, they all have big ego's which makes them want to get into management to begin with.I too would really want to join a company where I get paid massive wages and have moderate expectations, and if I don’t achieve them - I’ll get a massive payment to fuck off.

They know that as an ambitious manager, and ex Barcelona player, Enrique will want tangible footballing success and expect to be backed to make this happen.
Ange will be happy with lesser known talent and be more forgiving.

Yep, its whats worked for us in the past. Get someone that reflects what the club should be about, buy them good players that suit the way they play and clear out the shit. People really try and over complicate it including our board.Let’s hope this fella is our new Australian Redknapp. Plays attacking football and is a nice guy it seems

Yeah indeed, they want a cuck not a dom, that's the only way it will work with this board.
They'll probably wait until Ange is all but confirmed then bring in a DOF that wants to start again and conduct his own manager searchI don't believe they have had any talks with him already. Maybe just with his agent who is leaking this.
Could be they waited until the end of the season in each country to start interviews to have as many candidates available at one time.
Still hoping they decide to get a Sports Director in first that knows what a football is so it's not Levy, Munn and whoever they kept on from Fabs team doing ITWs.
