They have a lot to do with the performance against Vitesse being shite. That’s why they were dropped for the next match.
They don’t show the right attitude in those lesser matches. Winks was crying about how hard it is to play well without getting regular minutes but was what he served up against Vitesse the maximum possible effort he could give? If it was, he is not good enough. If it wasn’t, he should be fined a weeks wages for not giving a shit. Either way something is wrong with him.
I never saw Lamela complain about only starting cup matches or being used sporadically. He gave the same effort in every match. Winks is just a lazy wimp.
Exactly the same happened under Sugar. The bad feeling and unambition from the top filters down. There was a great article weeks ago that there us a lot of anger at the club because of furlough and reduced wages, it all plays a part in a very unhappy club from top to bottom.

I don’t disagree, Nuno is not going to be making any friends in the dressing room by calling out our disinterested fringe players while Kane continues to steal a living every match. Even Hojbjerg was shouting at Kane during the Burnley game for his shoddy efforts.
Not a good situation at all. Kane is basically Adebayor during Poch’s first season. Poch had the balls to drop him and trust in players with hunger. Nuno is not brave enough for that.

The stadium will be packed every home game, the fans will buy beer & merchandise and the world will keep on spinning on its axis.
Until fans stay away from the ground, don’t buy the expensive food and actually make some noise about the manager and/or owners, then nothing will change.

We sacked/mutual agreement with Santini after 13 league games. Palace sacked De Boer after 5 games, Pardew at WestBrom, Remi Garde at Villa, a few others as well. If we're 10th or below at the international break and playing the most boring tootball in the league i cant think of many reasons not to sack him other than a potential lack of other options.
You look at Brighton right now and first thought is “get Potter in” but the simple fact is our players aren’t better than theirs so it wouldn’t help

Bottom line is we need to get the best out of the good/decent players we do have (and extract an extra few percent out of the mediocre/dodgy ones).
