Probably, but for me it's not lack of investment that holds us back (even though there could be more of that...) it's a lack of brains at the top.

It's actually amazing to think how far and how quickly we progressed during the first half to 2/3rds of the Enic reign, was it all just pure luck??
I don't know the answer to that. All I can see is the present. I daren't think about the future.

He did a terrible job at Juventus and should never have been appointed. His first move when he comes to Spurs is to back Nuno for the job? Hardly a good sign. And he seemingly wants to continue the cycle of playing dull, passive football.

He's not right for this club. I'm certain everyone will think along the same lines within a couple of years.
Everyone is pretty much thinking that already.

I don't think that it was pure luck. I think that Levy had a plan to get us to the top that has over all been executed well. But like most super successful and rich people he likes to think that his way is the correct way and thus struggle to adapt to the changing landscape around him. Levy did not for see the advent of the petrol clubs and the absolutely stupid amounts of money that they would be willing to funnel into their clubs. Levy's plan for success was built on bridging the gap to United, Liverpool and Woolwich. But it didn't factor in Chelsea being bought up by a exiled oligarch and City being bought up by a gulf state.

This happens in every business field. Someone comes along and innovates his way to the top and everything looks fine. But then comes some younger pup with some completely new ideas and he revolutionizes the field from under you. You'll still be rich and successful, just not as rich and successful as you planned to be.
That may have been so but his footballing decisions have been inconsistent and terrible. Like not backing Poch properly when it was needed. The fact is Levy in the past has avoided so many of our top targets. Then appointing Two Consecutive Managers who go so against the way the fans want to see Spurs play. Levy has done a great job on the stadium and training ground. I just struggle with a majority of his football decisions over the last 20 years because when he does get it right it almost seems like complete fluke.

Did he do a good job on the ground? It cost 1BN and was late, very late. He borrowed to fund it.

It’s a great ground don’t get me wrong but if you are being objective, it was hugely over budget (paid for by fans as paying customers) and late

This. And on top of that, he held out so long for a mega sponsor we'll probably never get one now.

In some aspects yes he did a great job on the ground but the failure to build it on time was terrible and the failure to budget for price rises in material for Brexit was a massive mistake.

What he did, was build the best stadium in the world, 10 years after it was needed and delivered it to a team that, no matter how you look at it, is nowhere near elite.
Could have built a nice looking gaff years ago for half the cost but for all the dithering and going round the world looking for tips.
Still, winning an award for our stadium is close to a cup.

I voted no, but not because I think Nuno is right for the job, he isn't. I'm not sure that the club can afford to buy him out, then hire another coach, and still have the funds needed to refresh the squad (without selling Kane).

Then I thought about one of the American football teams I support here at home, and what happened when they made 3 bad coaching hires in a row, those coaches have a combined record of 30 wins, and 83 losses over 10 seasons.

So before I finished typing this out I changed my vote to Yes. Nuno never should have been hired in the first place. Seems like a great guy, but the best time to correct a mistake is as soon as you've realized you made it.

I kinda,feel bad for him....
it's like asking Danny Dyer to audition to play Hamlet at the RSC.... then giving him dog's abuse when he's shit!

It's up to Daniel Levy/Trevor Nunn to recognise when someone simply isn't up to the job.... and NOT hiring them!

Adding insult to injury yesterday was watching Tomiyasu play so well for Woolwich while Emerson didn't make it off the bench. We went the wrong direction there for sure.
