That’s a separate argument and I agree with you but the manager is clueless and the players aren’t playing for him

What would you do wait until Xmas when we’re low in the bottom half of the table in a relegation fight?

The Chavs identified a problem with Fat Frank and ruthlessly despatched him and getting Tuchel and now look

I appreciate that there doesn’t appear to be anyone in Tuchel class out there atm but several other names have been suggested

I can’t see any hope of improvement with Nuno in charge
I think a lot of these issues stem from the reintegration of kane myself. Can't blame nuno for trying as we have no other striker. I think he's trying to give some people a chance that don't deserve it and once again he's a manager with one hand tied behind his back because this is the squad he has to work with because of our chairman imo. Except this time we don't have kane to bail us out because he can't be fucked anymore.

But not with Kane’s current attitude, form and injury record

If Manc did offer £75 million with add ons we should have taken their arm off

Let's just agree to disagree.

He finished last season as top scorer and assister of EPL.
Even if he has one weaker season for reasons some scouts etc could read ( meaning - wanting out and motivational issues) it does not decrease one's value 3x (!) and just saying - it has not been full season of only missing sitters. He has started what, 4 games now in EPL.

Yet there were literally people on this board who explained how it would have been good business to buy Traore who did not score nor assist in 28 starts in the row for same quoted 50 mil.

Once more - I would have preferred that we would have got reasonable value for him and used this money for rebuild. But for 75 mil we would have rebuild fuck all. Vlahovic (!!) was quoted to cost 80 mil for fuck sake. I have no issue with not bulging and giving Kane away for 25 mil than wooden horse Lukaku was sold for.

Guys saying ENIC is the issue that Nuno is performing badly is only part of the story. His team is there and assembled, he works with them now each day. I don't think the team he was given this year was complete rubbish, I think he isn't playing the way we are all desperate for, attacking football.

We used to be a team with flair players and goals would come from all sides of the pitch. Now, it's Kane and Son or nobody really. We've even lost Bales goals. Attack is our strongest way and only way we know how to play. When poch introduced us to high pressing, it worked for us because we are a front footed team that wants to get on the ball and attack the goal as quickly as possible.
Defence was always leaky, it needed improving and we got it. Jan, Toby, Rose, Walker. All in their primes, all fantastic.
We're not far off that with our current batch on paper, but every week we play like Jose and Nuno have been is every week we let this crop a chance to bed in and play the way we expect. Regi and Royal are clearly great modern wing backs, but being pinned into their own halves because our midfield is so weak we're only seeing a fraction of what they can do. Romero hasn't got going but who is his partner? Is a 3-5-2 better for him?

Attacking football is what spurs are about and I just have no idea how Levy put that statement out and ended up signing Nuno. It sounds more to me this is Paratici doing, he called off Fonseca and we got Nuno who levy had clearly already looked at and moved on from.
Unfortunately with Nuno I think Levys only blame is allowing Paratici to decide. He listened to us in getting a DoF and to try and take a step back but there's clearly a huge error in bringing Nuno in.

Football works in strange ways. If Nuno went to Everton and played exactly how he wanted, they would possibly do well. Spurs fans though are a club in mourning still over the dramatic decline we've seen since the finals when it was all so good for us.

Nuno out, attacking manager, keep Paratici to decide transfers. That would be me direction and tell the new manager some of these older players will be moved on this summer.

I guess you are not surprised we are playing shit football then? Has your new manager made you play better?

Not surprised, I came on here to warn you all.
Not surprised by the complete capitulation in the Derby either - he did it at Wolves. Worst West brom side in decades and he bottles both games. No fire, no passion, no desire to even win it. Just sat on the bench sulking.

In terms of new manager - first 3 games night and day, playing the best football we've seen in years, but we just weren't picking up points. We've turned a bit more cautious the past few games to get some points on the board, but you can definitely see how he wants us to play and it's really positive.

Main problem our end seems to be recruitment, squad is massively unbalanced. New manager asked for 4 extra players in the window, we ended up selling more than we bought.
Still haven't improved the Central defence since promotion, and currently only have 3 central midfielders in the squad, one of whom is 35 years old.
Can't really play the high press with these limitations.

Hindsight is 20:20 vision. I think the majority of us would agree with that now, but if Levy had made that deal in the summer, we would be having a lynching party.
Hindsight?!
I think the majority of people refused to accept that Kane has been this shit in many games for years.

The only difference is now they all think it’s ok to slag him off because of the way he went about his City “move”.

Sorry, but if you wanted Kane to stay, congratulations. I preferred the first three games to the last three personally

Hindsight is always 20:20. It was the same with the Eriksen deal, the Toby deal and with the figurative Ali sale as well.

If we hold on to them for too long we should have sold them at their peaks. But if we sell at their peak we are a no ambition selling club etc etc.

We had a United fan warning us about Mourinho and how he was past it when the club hired him as well. Not sure why Spurs have a fetish for shit or past it managers.

Levy talked about DNA then appointed a fucking Italian. You know the country that prides itself on DEFENCE. The new guy is a fall guy nothing more and you are falling for it hook line and sinker.
Levy had reportedly been after this Italian for quite some time. I expect partly because he was hoping for some cheap deal but I also wonder if he had decided there were other areas of the business he would rather focus on.

I've not fallen for anything, I don't for one minute feel anger shouldn't be directed to Levy but the Italian was the one who appointed Nuno.

I'm still perplexed but Italian, he didn't do stuff on the Cheap a Juve, didn't they buy their way to most things and spank stupid money on players like Ramsey?

Airfixx Airfixx trying to paint Levy as the victim of bad recruiting by Poch has been the highlight of my day so far
