Can’t fix recruitment until we figure out what we are for!

Liverpool every player fits Klopp’s system, we have some very good players but you wouldn’t say our squad is built for anything. We are like a car where someone has just grabbed a load of parts but didn’t know if they can be fitted together or even what the finished car will be.

Decide on the manager and philosophy then buy and sell to build a team that is perfectly fitted to it. Takes time, it’s a project. It’s why Nuno was such a bad appointment, forget the short term he was never going to be long term, he was just a temp. Nuno’s appointment feels more like a favour to Jorge Mendes like the Gedson Fernandes loan.
Mendes there’s the problem as well

And let Eddie Howe give him a hand

Anything but this shite
That doesn’t sound too bad. Harry will do the motivation and make players feel 10 feet tall. Howe can do the trading drills. Got to be than those shite. Remember Ramos went after 8 games. We now have international breaks so next it is. If we lose or draw with another zero performance pull the trigger. Levy the cheap skate would surely go for Harry and Howe both available for free.

I feel sorry for Nuno too. Quite a likeable chap from what I've seen. How good a manager for us I don't know. But I bet the other umpteen candidates who turned us down over the summer are certain now they did the right thing.

The difference is, I could see that Poch had a style and I could understand what he was trying to achieve.
With Nuno I haven't got a scooby what's going on, he picks an attacking team against Chelsea and Woolwich away where we have a notoriously shit record and then plays an ultra defensive side against Palace.

He picks Ndombele to presumably play through the midfield yet against Woolwich one in three of our passes were hopeful long punts.

And don't even get me started on our running stats, which are the worst in the division.
The sense that we’re bedding in a way of playing seems to be going backwards rather than forwards as the season goes along and that does not speak well of a manager.

He’s had to deal with some juggling of personnel but not THAT much.

We don’t have the squad to achieve the objectives we want as fans or that the club deserves. But we can be solid and tough and structured with what we’ve got and Nuno’s longevity will depend on it.

I don't want Nuno to stay, he's not right for the club and it's not the style of football I want to watch.

But this club has completely mistreated him. It's disgusting. They appointed him clearly with no actual belief, gave him zero backing, and a few games in to the season are panicking because he's not working .. which they clearly aren't surprised by.

I feel sorry for him. He seems like a decent bloke and he's being held up a scapegoat. And these inept scumbags are 'considering their options' as if we didn't have since Mourinho's sacking to line somebody up?

Nuno might be out of his depth but the people running this club are crooks and charlatans.
But wasn’t this all after that fraud of DOF turned up. He wanted Fonseca who no one had heard of and just left Roma. Then as his about to sign on the dotted line he pulls the rug bcos he for some reason thought Gattuso would be an ideal fit. That goes south due him being not a very nice human being. So that is already 2 atrocious choices by the new super DOF. Finally he decides after spurs had completely ignored Nuno for previous 2 months of their managerial search and two other PL
Clubs decided he wasn’t the man he gives some BS clip of an ex Nuno team to levy. He persuades levy that this guy is the man. Remember this guy wasn’t wanted by wolves either. Now this DOF is earning a few million in his role how can he be so incompetent and behave in such away without being called to account. I think Nuno goes he goes too along any other links to mendes. Whole thing is a scam.

Ad hominem & appeal to authority within two posts .. you're doing superbly.

I'd love to hear what you actually think they're doing right. But I suppose you aren't allowed an opinion on that either, because you're just a randomer on a forum.

I imagine the whole site should be just closed down, clearly nobody is fit to give an opinion.

You're stating your opinion as fact.
... a few games in to the season are panicking because he's not working .. which they clearly aren't surprised by.

As I've already said a few melts panicking on a forum, in no way means the club is panicking.

Not even October yet and you're ready to throw the towel in on a manager who just won manager of the month???

Not only is that ridiculous but also very short sighted and daft,

SpiderSpurs SpiderSpurs

I never picked up the towel in the first place. He should never have been hired, and nor should Paratici. You seem to be attempting to portray this as kneejerking over a manager, when the reality is most of our fans don't back these decisions, and haven't from the start.

It's not shortsighted, quite the opposite. Every week we stick with Nunoball is another week wasted playing dire, negative football rather than looking to bring in a coach who can try and implement the style of play the fans actually want.

Daft to me is still supporting the utter incompetence of those who hired Nuno, but I guess our definitions differ. As I said in my earlier post, the Nuno appointment is just a symptom of the true problem at our club, and most of our fanbase seem to have worked out what that is now.

And the 'he won manager of the month' did make me chuckle, so thanks for that.

We're 11th. We just gave up a 9 point lead to Woolwich in 3 games. We had 40% of the ball and one shot on target against a Crystal Palace team led by a novice manager, and followed it up by shipping 6 goals to our two biggest rivals back to back.

But yes, I'm so happy he won manager of the month. If we just ignore the fact Wolves actually played us off the park and we created nothing against Watford, it was all great. All hail Nunoball.

Is he reliable usually?

He is a Jose mouth piece so most of what he says has to be taken with that view in mind. I could see him liking turning the knife on Nuno to try and spin some nonsense about Jose not actually being the problem.

He could turn out to be right here but not because he has any inside information about it.

Lets be honest though. Kane and co havent helped. Kane has been a spoilt brat in all this fiasco. Claims to be a tottenham fan but doesnt play as if hes a fan. Pisspoor all season. Sheringham was the same. He was a fan and still has little pot shots at us.
