It’s 6 games. Even if it was 20 games I would say he needs a chance. He and Paratici haven’t had a full transfer window, he hasn’t had a full season. Two Of the star players want out, they wanted out before his appointment. it’s a tough gig.

We need to back him. At least for the season. Minimum.

Anyway, what manager would come to our club if we haven’t got results / performance after 6 games? Real Madrid and Barcelona can chop and change with the wind. We can’t and shouldn’t.

Losers mentality.

It’s not about results. It’s about his suitability for the job at this club. His principles of football, his personality. I look at the team and aside from the first match against City, I don’t see a team that enjoys being on the grass and I don’t see a head coach who enjoys being in the dugout at this club. The fit doesn’t look right.

It’s exactly like Carragher said on MNF with the comparison to Hodgson at Liverpool. Nobody can dispute Nuno is a good manager. But does he suit Tottenham? Can he handle the scrutiny of his work that comes with managing a big club? You manage Wolves and lose 3-1 trying to hoof the ball away at Woolwich, nobody bats an eye. It’s Wolves. You can’t get away with that here.

Exactly and even worse is the fact we have just come out or this with Mourinho stinking out the place for 1.5 years. Then, in typical wanker Levy fashion, we appoint the exact same manager minus the trophies. Just incredible the level of incompetent decisions this chairman and board deliver on a regular basis. The manager fiasco was so desperate, they had no choice but to appoint Nuno. He was never the right man for the club and never will be. Nice fella and More likeable than Mourinho, but he’s not the man for us.

Well, silver lining: it's shaping up that if a Tuchel-style manager becomes available through being sacked, we'll likely be poised to snap them up.

We got fucked last season by Mourinho having us be too consistent to get sacked around Christmas while Chelsea binned Lampard and made a masterstroke. Doesn't look like we'll be too good to change manager any time soon.
That's assuming a Tuchel style manager wants to come to us. I wouldn't count on that happening.

It's going to be difficult to recruit the right guy for us at this moment in time, we're in such a mess. I don't blame Nuno for taking the job, but he is so out of his depth.
Maybe we'd be better off getting a caretaker, say Chrissie Hughton, who can steady the ship, until we can get the right manager in. Then again, who in their right mind would risk their reputation under the current regime?

A girl after my own heart! You know I love Chris Hughton and wanted him before Nuno, right?

I still don’t think we should do it though. He deserves more time. Kane and Ndombele are being malcontents. We are one of only two premier league clubs who South American players insist on playing. Everyone else priorities their clubs.

Nuno deserves time.

You say that, but if Bayern wasn't an option we would likely have got Nagelsmann and Conte was keen to talk to us in the summer.

Ultimately its a job where you are guaranteed to earn millions and work in London in the best stadium and training ground.....its really not a shit job

I think more and more people are seeing what its like to work under our owners, so unless they have a major change of heart on the way they do things, we we will struggle to find anyone. And that scares me!

That depends on the character of the manager. If he is willing to tell levy to fuck off and let him just get on with his job then it's fine.

But levy wants to be involved in everything, you saw it in the amazon doc just casually walking into Jose's office.

I'm not sure we should pay too much attention to the documentary

Levy's main office is at Lilywhite House not the training ground

I agree that it's not a shit job on paper, but there's more to it than money and working conditions, otherwise we would have landed a better candidate than Nuno, IMO.

I think the way that turned out did us more harm than good. I reckon other managers will look at that and think, naaah. Add that to the way we treated the bloke who we agreed terms with, whose name i cant remember(says it all!!) and we are not a team many decent proven mangers would want to touch with a barge pole imho.

If they do that, they have to provide a partial refund on season ticket fees. Yet again under these incompetent leaches, there would be no correlation on comparative value per season ticket vs ambition shown. I would expect around a 30-40% return back to ticket holders

That was primarily due to a lack of good candidates - let's not forget that Utd are still employing their original caretaker, and they have a virtually unlimited budget.
Nuno was probably the worst choice on a list of 250 or so alternatives. Keeping him because we can’t get Tuchel or Conte is nonsense, I’m not sure there is a worse manager available than this drone
