I don't understand why we seemingly weren't/aren't in for Potter. Elite managers demand the type of investment we don't offer. In that case why not a manager with a great Style of play Who has done very well with a los budget team. Seems to me we became almost arrogant with Who we went after.....

Unless a top manager is available we are stuck, there ain’t no temps around and even Eddie Howe would want some assurances.

We have improved in that Nuno at least knows his best side. Problem is Nuno can’t coach attacking patterns, our movement up top is poor and that is on the manager not the players. Watch Brighton or Brentford to see shit players coached well and moving with a clear goal in mind.

Until we get an elite manager and back him we ain’t going anywhere. Talking about Gil being to small or Son having a poor touch etc hides the real issue. Liverpool have great players but it’s Klopp that is by a mile their most important person, Salah is nothing compared to Klopp, we by contrast are a poorly coached team. Man for man we are still better than West Ham but Moyes is a much better manager than Nuno. That’s your difference!

I'd take Solskjaer over Nuno.

Don't think he would join, I imagine after his inevitable United sacking he will take some time off. But if he would then yeah, I agree. Not a good manager but he tries to play in an attacking manner, so we'd at least be getting poor results/fun football rather than poor results/poor football.

Only as a caretaker though. Which again, I doubt he accepts.

Anyone that thinks sacking Jose was still the better decision is off their fucking rocker btw.

We downgraded the manager and the squad, we are now seeing the results.

(3 of the clueless brigade weighing in with their kisses as usual xo 😘)

Problem is , replace him with who ? Mid-season ? It’ll be Mason who’ll get Winksy back in the starting XI. Paying to sack Nuno & having to throw a ridiculous amount of ££ at even tempting anyone to consider the job..

Business clever as ever . How much have we paid out for sacking or hiring new managers over the last 20 years ? Idiots

Oh I agree but I think that's what is happening here, I also think Nuno was a stop gap appointment
Nuno was an obvious last minute appointment. Paratici came in with what, 2 weeks left before pre season started and we had not gotten a manager in before he started? So he had to rush an appointment and when we rejected Gattuso he went for Nuno with 1 week to go until pre season started.

He was doomed from the start.

I hope that we can look beyond just getting Poch back. Go for Valverde, Favre, someone else that knows how to put together a system and give them the reigns for a while.

Poch will most likely be back one day, but we cannot just sit around and wait.

We should be all over Scott Parker next summer. Has Bournemouth extremely well coached, they press unbelievably well, the football is entertaining, and he's brought in a number of youth players like Zemura and Anthony after losing Danjuma who was the key man there.

Nice little long-term manager who we can actually give time to, and who the fans will immediately have respect for.

Please close this one game thread. Would it have been Nuno in had we won?

We would not even agree on who in?

The truth is Howe or Potter would have been incoming were their names Howinho or Potterino!

Favre is just sitting there. Give him until the end of the season and then sack him if you want, but don't carry on with Nuno.
