Looking at the table we’re on the same goal difference as leeds currently sitting at 17th and only 5 points ahead of them. We cant even get a shot on target. Worrying.
so if they have a compromise agreement in place it could be likely that he has gone, or accepted to go but it's Spurs who get to decide how, and when the announcement is made. This would help their search for a new coach
Job is a poison chalice for anyone. Nuno is not very good but even if he was has had no chance. The demise of the club in a 2 and a half years is staggering. With ENIC still in control the job has become very unattractive . Star player and record signing want out , club will not spend the necessary for an appropriate rebuild , will overprice non performing players so they stay. The atmosphere is toxic throughout the club Staff retention is a joke in much of the admin side because of said atmosphere.

I can't however get over how little effort the squad have put into games. If they were trudging through 3/4 of the season I could understand it but it's been like this from day one in most matches. They wield way too much power. Kane should have been dropped. Sure it would hurt us but hopefully it would hurt him more. Lets see what his energy is coming off the bench.

It's a really strange situation that doesn't make any sense.
Nuno is on a short contract, I can't help but feel this length was pitched to most candidates so only those desperate would take it. It begs the question, why such a short contract? Can't you insert clauses that if targets aren't hit then you could end it without a penalty anyway?
So if these were only seen as short-term solutions, what was the bigger picture? Was Levy still holding out for Poch? Hoping at the end of this season he would be available and carry on with the re-build? I'm not saying this is possible, would happen and even that I want it too, but I find Nuno's appointment very strange.
And how does this reflect on Fabio, it was his first signing for us and it has failed miserably. If Levy goes over his head doesn't this signal the end for Fabio already?

i'm sure he has agreed to go, but to get his payout he needs to carry on until Tottenham are ready to make an announcement. To Nuno's credit I'm sure he has the best interests of the club at heart, and will agree to terms that are favourable for our progression. He doesn't strike me as a bitter, person.

Nuno Espírito Santo is on the brink of being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after talks with the board yesterday.
The club have lost faith in their head coach, who has been in charge for only four months and was booed during the 3-0 defeat by Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday. The fans also turned on Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, after a seventh defeat in 17 matches in all competitions.
Levy is thought to be furious with the manner of the performance against United, whose manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is also under huge pressure. Should Tottenham dismiss Nuno he would have the shortest tenure of Levy’s nine permanent appointments.
Tottenham would be keen to re-hire Mauricio Pochettino, and an intermediary has also sounded out Antonio Conte. Both were among eight managers the club pursued to replace José Mourinho, before appointing Nuno on a two-year deal days before pre-season began.
Pochettino, 49, has been unhappy with the internal politics at Paris Saint-Germain but his position as head coach is expected to be decided by how he does in the Champions League and his side are on course to make the knockout stages.
Conte, 52, is out of work after leading Inter Milan to the Serie A title and has had interest from bigger clubs. The Italian would need to be persuaded to take a job mid-season, and talks with Spurs broke down this summer after Conte demanded significant financial backing to refresh the playing squad and challenge for trophies.
Nuno’s tenure has been embarrassing for Levy, who stated that the Portuguese could meet his pledge to restore Tottenham’s “DNA of playing attacking, entertaining football” and build “something special”.
In the league Spurs have not had a shot on target for two hours and 16 minutes, scoring only nine goals in ten matches. In the dressing room, a number of Tottenham players have not warmed to the head coach.
Spurs are in eighth place, five points outside the top four, and host West Ham United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals next month.
Nuno’s contract is said to include clauses that would allow the club to part company with him next summer without paying him any compensation.
Levy initially did not hold an interest in Nuno this summer and feared his style was too similar to Mourinho’s. Nuno’s case was pushed by Fabio Paratici, Tottenham’s new director of football, who showed Levy videos of Nuno’s Valencia side, who used a 4-3-3 system to press and attack aggressively.
Should Nuno leave, Tottenham would need an interim coach to take on Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League on Thursday before Sunday’s Premier League clash away to Everton.
