That’s because both wingers lose every single 50/50 ball they have. They can’t relieve the pressure off the midfield at all.
The ball has barely even made it to the front three. That’s down to the midfielders, imo.

The midfield is bad, make no mistake, but we have zero threat up top at the moment which allows them to press us higher putting more pressure on the middle of the pitch. If even one of those three were able to show something of a threat it would free up space for us. Their inability to control the ball let alone create an attacking threat is just putting pressure on us we don’t need.I can’t believe people are blaming our front 3.
This is on the midfield. The absolute worst midfield performance (Sarr excepted) that I’ve seen since we were playing a 2 man midfield.
No ball retention without Kulu. And all three MFs out there now are losing the ball, unable to relieve pressure, getting muscled off the ball and getting totally overrun.
We have to beat their press, but no law says we have to play through it. Over the top of it is fine as well.Bournemouth are doing a good job pressing us but that doesn’t excuse some of the passing, Porro has been especially poor and given the ball away far too often.
They are overthinking and hesitating too much, just relax and play and we’ll kill them off.
Injuries to two Bournemouth players and to Sarr.
They are a very good side.
Doubt it’s gonna do anything, that’s just the level of the current first 11.
AbsolutelyIt's games like this where I see how much we miss Kulusevski playing on the right.
His ability to just hold onto the ball, slow play down and keep it in our possession is massively missing today.
