So...... If Man City beat Man U this week and then Man U beat Chelski at the weekend........... If we do the business in our next 2 games we could be over the line by Saturday (well after the Man U Chelsea game)

Pretty much ,yes.

Even better if Woolwich drop points against Wolves too (for 3rd place sakes)

We'd be 6 points clear of 5th place with a much superior goal difference with 2 games to go.

It would be lovely to go clear and then let Woolwich, Chelski and Man U thrash it right to the last game for 4th.

Would also help out the likes of Valencia and Frankfurt!

When you look at all the games, although we lost at least we lost to the likely title winners, and only just lost. Plus we were in teh best position to afford to drop points.

Huge bottle jobs by Utd, Woolwich and Chelsea.

I haven't seen any of the Chelsea game, but one of the key things about these results is just how bad United (in particular) and Woolwich were. It's not even a case of us having jammy results fall our way.

Meanwhile, I believe we've turned our bad form around (even the City loss was a good performance overall) at just the right time.

Chelsea, Woolwich and United, the best English teams of 90s and the 2000s, now struggling to make it into top 4. It truly goes to show how much Arab oil money and the PL TV money, has completely changed the landscape of English football, and these clubs couldn't keep up with these changes.

I don't agree. What hurt these teams was a lack of strategy, philosophy and patience.

The money coming in has had an effect but it hasn't helped the two clubs that have benefitted most, Man City & PSG still win their ultimate prize.

Woolwich went wrong because they lost their way in the latter stages of Wenger, largely due to teams clocking onto his scouting model, Chelsea & Man U because they threw money at quick fixes and didn't give something enough time to blossom.

The money is a big impact but when you look at the record fees paid by Man U, Chelsea, Woolwich and Man City, City haven't really paid anymore as a record signing than either of them.

For every problem there is a solution. Woolwich, Man U & Chelsea caved to the desires of immediate success and became more football manager than football IMO
