It looks worse every time I see it but I'm watching a stream so I can't really look closely but I think he was surprised by it somehow.
He's not be starting games most of the season, Diaby's been getting picked ahead of him for much of it (lately anyway). Never really got the hype with Bailey.

Fucking terrible defending by Ibanez
Roma have looked fucked in this game, hardly surprising considering the schedule they've just been through. It was a great run by Reguilon, but pretty shit defending and terrible keeping for the first, and really poor defending for the second, why the fuck Ibanez dives in on Ocampos, and no-one seems to track the run of of El-Nesyri (Diawara, Mancini?). Piss poor goals, but they look like a team that's spent..
This kid Kounde (21yo CB) who Seville got from Bordeaux looks like he might be worth keeping an eye on. Not the most physically imposing, but seems composed, dextrous and decent technically.
Been more impressed with Reguilon today than when I've previously watched him. Good energy, been a bit more proactive, decent technically.
