Given everyone wrote off Deki after his first game and we tried to sell Bale early on I think I'll let him settle first.
Thought he looked good on the ball and was making the right runs. Technique wise, he's a huge upgrade on our other options.
Defensively was caught out with nearly every attack from Leicester. Made one great interception late on before being subbed off. It's clear he's a new player at the club as there was zero chemistry between him and Tanganga, who also struggled.
When the rest of the team put in that sort of performance it's hard to hit the ground running on your debut. Especially when most of the game is on the back foot, when you've been signed to bring attacking emphasis.
Wrong selection today from Conte. You don't drop players who are in form IMO. Especially when its Emerson Royal putting together his only 2 good games for us. Can't be great for his confidence.
Looks like a promising addition. Maybe best if he doesn't try dribbling at the edge of our penalty box again though. Not even Messi tries to beat 3 or 4 men at the edge of his own box.

Give him time, he will come good. Tactically he wasn't all there but it was his debut in a high tempo away game. I don't think too many of our signings in the past few years had good debuts anyway.
Not the best first game, but it was just the first game. Lots of things to get used to and sure he will improve with time and reps.

Rough first game, despite being behind we could hardly get him on the ball, and his defending was far from great, but that's the sort of thing players usually improve when they've had time to gell with the rest of the defence. I did see some promise from him, he had a great pass to Kulu in the box, which Kulu miscontrolled. If we got him on the ball more I think he would've probably created something.
I thought he played against us in CL. So cuptied anyway.

Especially considering he used the excuse of needing to learn the system for so long with Bissouma before he got a start. Maybe that was on Yves but there has always been so much talk about the system and then threw him in quick.
