Ex-Spurs Player Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We can only play 11 players. We'll see when Skipp is back if he can do the job of PEH and Bentancur could be a better bet alongside him.
But as things stand, withour squad, with Skipp injured, I'd rather have PEH on the pitch..
You said it yourself that's more to do with Winks than Hojbjerg. It's time for bravery we ain't getting 4th so blood white win or lose its in our intrests

I don't see it but fair enough if that is what you see.

Every time that PEH is legitimately criticized there are tons that rush here to defend him. Only thing close is the Son fanboi's but that is a subsect of the "fanbase".

No.
If you want to blood youth, don't throw them into a bad performing team from the off and subject them to the toxicity that is building already.
Drop them in with increasing frequency if they hold their own.
That toxicity comes from wankers like PEH. The crowd are fully behind Benta, cheering forward passes and the same will go for White and Devine. Freshening it up removes toxicity

then we proceeded to lose. Were you still punching your arms?

He has to be starting over the non existent hider Winks. Hojbjerg at least always puts maximum effort, gets forward and tries to move the ball forward.
Agree with that (Winks) but just great to see him being toppled. Skipp > PEH all day long

Benta did well when he came in and was not the reason we lost, some great forward passing that we rarely see from PEH (who like Winks is also a serial ‘hider’)

Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing 26-year-old Denmark international Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Roma after working with the Tottenham midfielder during their time together in north London. (Corriere della Sera via Sport Witness)

Seems like Mourinho won't be there in the summer to sign him. He's already throwing Roma players under every bus in Rome.

Whilst I respect your right to dislike PEH, what I don't respect is that you can't see in the last 2 games, him being on the pitch probably would have seen us more solid and take more points. Skipp is injured. It doesn't matter if you think he's better.
We have to pick the best we have available and PEH is better than Winks. He just is.

I agree that PEH is better suited than Winks just great to see him knocked off his pedestal. He’s an imposter, just less of a fraud than Winks

And this is the problem. When our squad is so threadbare that we’re debating who should start between him and Winks, it’s a sad state of affairs. Neither of them should be close to the starting XI in a top PL team and it shows how far we have fallen away as a club in such a short space of time. However, he has to start before Winks with our current set up. It’s not that PEH is good, it’s just that he’s much better than poor Winksy who looks like he could get blown over in a moderate breeze.
“Blooding” youth players is a luxury we don’t have. Skipp has come into the team because he is good enough and therefore ready.
The fact that none of the others have made any impact on the first team squad suggests they are not (yet) good enough and therefore not (yet) ready.
