Underrated this week, and he'll be overrated next month after a few good games. Not great, not trash, just a decent-to-good PL player who plays well in some games/set-ups and poorly in others.

Skipp is injured anyway! Ideally i would play Kulu or Lucas in the midfield 3 with Skipp and Benta eg those two in a pair and the other centrally behind Kane/Son (with Berg at RWB)

I am also pro giving Devine and White a run over PEH, but not against City and probably not with Skipp and Benta (again too defensive).
 
I want to ask you guys/gals a question (don't think it warrants a thread). As we are here bemoaning the quality of our squad and are about to head to the lions den for a dose of ritual slaughter....have we ever been this far off City since they won the lottery?

You hear a lot of buy this player! 'but he's doing it in a pub league.' Well is that not a sound description of the EPL. Outside Chavs Liverpool and City everyone else us included are proper rubbish. I wonder if we exclude the three best sides could we name an eleven from any of the other seventeen clubs that could go to the Etihad and not be humiliated? I've tried and its a struggle. This is my best effort and they'd still lose. Potter to coach them obvs. Oh and Romero and Son are there purely on huge bias.

I think if you let everyone be at peak health then you might be able to get a team that is competitive with that top group.

Not sure what formation you want but something like:

Lloris
Romero-Gabriel-Fofana
Lamptey-Fernandes-Bissouma-Rice-Shaw
Kane-Son

Bench- Ramsdale, Varane, Justin (because he can cover both WB's), Raphinha, Phillips, Antonio, Vardy

I went 3-5-2 because Conte (or even Potter as you suggest) would prefer it.

LWB was toughest to find someone, maybe people would argue Kane-Son is homerism but not sure anyone is clearly better. Left off Ronaldo because attitude is shit and could destroy the team in my view. Surprised that there weren't more United guys in contention.

I'd have Fofana for Evans, Neves for Philips and Saka for Sarr but yeah i think your point stands.
