Conte’s a huge name but without proper backing we could end up with a giant meltdown and back to square one. Unless the club are going to be run better plus funded better the likes of Ten Hag and Potter who are basically Poch-lite managers are more suitable and less likely to fail here. That is the reality of where we are.
Potter isn’t as good as Conte or Poch but he isn’t Martinez or Howe either, he is a Rogers at Swansea type risk level manager.

Or maybe it isn't. We're the biggest club out there in search of a coach and probably the only one that can offer what Conte wants (and I say "can" not "will"). I wouldn't be surprised if he thought again about it and said "OK, I'll meet you halfway." I mean, what's his alternative? Probably sitting the year out waiting for a bigger club to fire its coach.
