To be honest, I really like Howe. Not one of my top choices for this job, but I think he will be a top manager in the future; he just needs a chance, probably with a mid-table team or an Everton. Obviously the problem is that he is unproven with decent players so it is a difficult sell to the fans.
 
True but they do create chances.
They just cannot score.
It's part of the manager's job to build patterns of play which are tailored to create chances that your attackers can score from.

For example, in 2018/19, Burnley scored 45 goals. Last season they scored 43 goals. That is likely to be more goals than Brighton will score this season; and Burnley aren't exactly blessed with many clinical goalscorers. And Sean Dyche is not a world class attacking coach either.
