Agree to disagree on all three.

The "legacy" fan isn't going to forgive the disarray of the ENIC project for a manager that just took Fulham down, and the upwardly mobile Malaysian junior executive who is the ESL dream fan doesn't know who Scott Parker is.

Fair enough everyone can have a different view. I am going off what I have heard from others about Parker and I read a lot of he is one of own that knows Tottenham and will do things the Spurs way.

I personally don't think that, but I do think you would hear a lot of those types of comments from our fanbase if he is appointed.

Shoot, I'll say some of those things myself if he gets the job. If he's the choice and he's our manager I will put my feelings on the appointment aside and back him same as I did for Jose.

But much like Potter, that would be an extremely fragile, low-credibility situation that could end ugly and quickly.

The club is really on a precipice right now, this is a difficult job for even a decorated manager.

I don't really even understand why he us considered one if our own. Played for Chelsea and us as did Jason Cunty I don't really get the Parker thing at all.

Whoever the Coach/Manager is gonna be is really going to make no difference while Levy is holding the purse strings, we need a new owner who is willing to chuck money into Spurs and not worry how much it costs, its the only way to compete nowadays.
I predict another rinse and repeat season until things change up in the office.

Potter would be a great hiring, I think it is unfair to compare him to Parker who has shown much less.

I think the more important thing is the set up if we don't change that then the manager will be so limited by what he can do. It will still matter who we bring in but only papering over the major cracks and trying to salvage what they can.

I know many fans are super negative right now, I personally don't think things are nearly as bad as some. but if we do not make needed changes then we might start to get closer to the depths people think we can get.

If we move Levy out and bring in a quality DOF, I think this job would be great for any manager, but under the current set up it is not great.

Anybody else is tired of waiting? No real rumours, just shit sources from Italy and stuff like that.

Just bring the new manager and we'll see. It won't be easy for him as we need to quick our defence ASAP and it all depends on Levy as usual, so, you bald cunt let's keep things moving.

The longer this goes on the more optimistic I become that Levy is realizing it's not just an issue of who the coach is. Hopefully he realizes we need a massive overhaul of the entire footballing structure including him letting the reins go.

Yes and no.

I want it over so we can move on and I think the sooner we get someone in the sooner we can start making plans on current players and prospective players.

But I also worry that we are going to make a shit hire and/or make a hire that indicates we are sticking with the current Levy/Hitchens as DOF structure, so as long as we are still waiting I won't be completely let down by the terrible decision we make.

I am worried that Hitchens is still in his job. If we were going to hire a new DOF surely Hitchen would have gone.

The name on the periphery that continues to make the most sense to me is Christophe Galtier.

He's leaving Lille one way or another this summer, per reports.
Good manager. May or may not be noteworthy: twas his staff that Mourinho took with him when he joined us, Sacramento and the rest, and according to reports they didn't really vibe well with the squad, maybe just Sacramento I'm not fully sure. Fingers crossed people at the club are really thinking through this decision, that this time isn't being wasted and all options are being scrutinized.

I think Levy obviously likes Hitchens so may want to keep him around as a scout still or even move him to another non-transfer related role with the club.

I don't know enough about Hitchens background but if they brought in a new DOF who doesn't want Hitchens involved as a scout, maybe Levy shifts him to a role with the youth teams or something.

I think that sacking Hitchens now before a new guy is brought in would be a little premature either way. I don't think he will go, but I don't think him being here now means that he is definitely staying, especially in his current role.
