Firstly - good to catch up withRocket ,
Shades ,
East Mid Yid and
Spurshaker .
Most of the following points have been made, but my take was:
1. we played well throughout the game, but just more effective in the second half.
2. Pape was my MOTM, he was everywhere, but can't really fault anyone.
3. If we give Dom some decent service, he will score goals.
4. Ange did the right thing in taking Sonny off when he did. We need to manage his playing time, especially as he is just getting back from injury.
5. Villa are a dirty, time-wasting team and I hope whatever caused Cash to go off, leads to him being out for as long as he put Hot Rod out of the game.
6. Feel for Richy, hope his injury is not too serious.
7. Glad I didn't have to listen to that inane gooner commentating while I'm watching the game, in fact I'm glad I don't have to listed to any commentary. I know what I'm looking at, I don't need a so-called expert telling me.
8. The ref was useless, but don't know why I expected any better. 10 minutes extra time , all nearly from their time wasting antics.
9. Got my chicken and noodles to take away and enjoyed them when I got home in time to see the Strictly results show, to learn that one annoying scouser had been knocked out. And with the results yesterday, it's been a pretty good weekend.
COYS
But who judges you?
Not an issue so much defensively, but our offensive corners leave a lot to be desired. We overuse the second man routine and barely ever land the ball around the penalty spot & give Romero, Drag etc something to attack.
Scoring plenty of goals but a bit of creativity there would not go astray.
Ha ha..... have you really got nothing better to do old man
Good old Hindsight. I already called out my own post twice earlier in the thread matey.
Incredibly, we're 5th in xG for offensive set pieces.
Behind City, Forest, Woolwich and Villa.
Lots of Captain hindsights in here. Typically the same people who lack any vision and never stick their own knecks out.
Fact is corners are still an issue, we do still struggle against low block teams with pace who play quick break.
I couldn't see us scoring today, but the second half we upped the tempo and we were clinical and Ange had another blinder with his subs.
Overall a brilliant result and lets hope we can now push on and find some consistency
I just can’t believe how he spends his whole match day experience hoarding up countless quotes during the game in the hope he can start spraying them around in the post match discussion just to garner some positive reactions.
Surely there's more to life than this. It's just not normal
Just enjoy the win like the rest of us for Heaven sake

We’ve won 9 out of our last 11.
Consistency isn’t the big issue you seem to think it is
Home to away form consistency needs to improve...but it will, folk just need to chill...it should come as no surprise that we have consistency issues as we have a young core and playing in the Prem isn't easy at all, especially away fixtures.
Davies really helped calm things down I thought. Romero going off was a blessing in disguise. Shame about the injury of courseDavies and Dragusin locking up Watkins and “super sub” Duran needs to be talked about more

Most teams seem to be suffering from the same - City and Scum both struggled massively in their last two away PL games against what would often be cannon fodder to them.
Disagree on Newcastle v Forest.Dream outcome for next league round:
Scum and Arse draw.
Citeh and BHA draw.
Pool and Villa draw.
Newcastle beat Forest.
Spurs beat Ipswich.
Spurs end up third on GD!!!
Only problem is that Ipswich have 2 Aussies playing for them, so we might lose.
Cheer up D.
It's not all doom and gloom.
The next fixture is away to Galatasaray on Thursday and they have a 9-1-0 start in the Supa Liga.
Plus our injuries and the rotations we'll have to make.....wouldn't be surprised if we lose this one.
That gives you 4 full days to whip out the whet-wheel and get all those knives razor sharp.![]()
