Match Premier League - Home to Aston Villa - 03/11 - 2pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He no longer has a week to prepare for most matches - it’s a huge learning curve as we well know. Last season they didn’t give a schitt about the Conference league as they could cruise it to the QF with any random 11 - See Chelsea.

This year, they have gone all out in the CL and they are suffering hangovers and a lack of training time and preparation.

Finally, they aren’t as good as they are made out to be at times - they’ve finished above us by a couple of points the last 2 seasons and may do again this year - but I’m not convinced they are genuinely better than us, it’s fairly even, with the finest or margins separating us.

Last 2 encounters with Villa have seen us score 8 and concede 1
This is where Spain, France, even Germany and Italy differs to England. You can't go weak in the PL to focus on Europe.

A week is a very long time in football........last Monday various pundits were saying United should pay whatever it took to poach him

Again, i think he is a good Manager.... but he isn't as far ahead of our own as some like to make out. yes, he is great at cup comps, especially in Europe, but they conceded one less goal or perhaps even the same amount as us last year - and now has conceded 15 this season already including 2 to Everton and Ipswich.

I thought they were a lot better side than what we saw yesterday, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe they are just very organised and that coupled with us falling apart end of last season is the reason they made the top 4. We were miles better than them in every single department yesterday, the gulf in class looked like we were playing a team from a lower division. End of the day anyone can have a bad game but what's telling is when you go somewhere just trying to sit in and stifle for 90 minutes and show zero intent that tells me they know we are better and were shit scared of us.

They conceded 61 goals last season, the same as us so I'm not sure they are that organised at the back - They had an on-fire Watkins and a lot of good supporting players but it really doesnt look like the have done anything to address their shortcomings.

They have also had a piss-easy start to the season.

West Ham, Woolwich, Leicester, Everton, Wolves, Ipswich, United, Fulham, Bournemouth and Us.

They dropped points to any decent side they have come up against, (and United). Fulham are obviously playing well but went down to 10 men at a crucial time.

Long story short, let's see where they are after playing more of the Newcastle, Brighton, Liverpool etc.

This is the difference between an experienced player with a brain, and, well, me.
I saw us get better after Son came off.
He saw us get better when Udogie switched from cutting inside to going on the overlap.

It makes it look so simple a tweak too doesn’t it. Got to wonder why Emery didn’t do something to stop it. Not doing so probably lost him the game on top of us just being better at everything else.

Guessing Moore is on for a start vs Galatasaray on Thursday, if Richy is injured there's a good chance Sonny will start up top with Solanke coming on early in the 2nd half given he played the full match against Villa, will be interesting to see how a makeshift defence of Dragusin and Davies copes with a more rotational side in front of them, wonder if they have played together quite a bit in training as have to imagine VDV and Romero are largely drilled together?
A very young lad away in the atmosphere at Galatasaray isn’t possibly a great idea. Might not be an option in not playing him though
Just seen their goal. I swear no team have their keeper fiddled with as much as us. And it’s let go by the officials.
and naively we don’t do the same.

Davies and Dragusin locking up Watkins and “super sub” Duran needs to be talked about more

The Davies midfield tackle leading to Dom's goal was worth the entrance money alone.

Davies is in the Autumn of his career, but I have never once heard him bitch about playing time, wanting a move away or how unlucky he is. He should be at any cost kept on by the club, take his coaching badges and offered a coaching role within the club structure. Would be surprised if Ange hasn't already thought of this?

Let him work his way up.

He has played under:

Poch
Mason
Nuno
Jose
Conte
Ange

He's seen off more managers than Abramovich.
