I don't agree with this.
The first response should be to look at the evidence.
In this case, the evidence is damning, and shows that Partey is guilty of rape.
He will escape criminal charges for this due to a technicality which is a sad.

I think it's an issue of wording. You shouldn't believe a woman accusing anyone of rape than anyone accusing anyone of any other crime. What you should do is, take the accusation seriously, investigate as you would any other serious allegation such as murder. You can believe what you're being told without condemning the accused. False accusations are incredibly rare statistically. There's a big difference between 'I believe & will support you' and going off to begin a witch hunt against the person they're accusing.
Believe & comfort the potential victim, and recognize the right of the accused to defend themselves.

That does mean that you eventually have to question her and see if there are any holes in her story. Even though it might be adding trauma on top of trauma, it's something that needs to be done for the sake of due process.
Perhaps I misunderstood. Yes, there always needs to be an investigation before charges are laid. The investigation is based on reasonable grounds to suspect an offence (so lower standard than believing). The standard for charging is significantly higher than belief. (realistic prospect of proving all ingredients of offence beyond reasonable doubt)Great, but there is some investigation carried out between accusation and charge isn't there? The tweet posted suggested that belief of the accuser be the starting point, I just can't see how that would be a viable option.
She did mention something about Woolwich not being able to do anything because she's over 18, but I guess she meant the police, that would make sense in light of this info.It seems powers to prosecute sexual assault committed by U.K. nationals and residents abroad already existed since 2003 if the victim is under 18. There’s no evidence of a rule change to allow a victim to be protected if she’s over 18 but it’s possible ?
I will look down on other cultures where it seems to be the majority view and I will look down on those (there are still around) who believe it in the UK, basically anyone who believes that I will look down on them. I used other cultures in this instance as that is where the tweets were coming from, well all the ones I saw. That was the same here in the uk not so long ago, so I'd not be to quick to look down at 'other cultures'. Its not in the front of my mind but was the law only change on this as late as 1992? (Don't quote me on that, or someone do due diligence). We have a very fake cultural perception of who we are here and how long we have been enlighten. I'd also point out that there is a very active campaign by people who like to throw around the term woke, to overturn lots of the rights people seem to think we're always part of our "culture ". They weren't they were fought for bitterly . By 'woke' campaigns.
That is exactly what I was attempting to get across ftr...
Let's not descend into slagging posters off.
Fuck off cunt...
This looks so bad for WoolwichShe did mention something about Woolwich not being able to do anything because she's over 18, but I guess she meant the police, that would make sense in light of this info.
I agree we all meant well its just a case of nuance.
As I said two weeks ago when he was dropping cute transfer hints in the summer transfer thread.
Disgusting post and bang out of order. VY is no 'hercules' and has always posted decent stuff, regardless of your stance on itk (which I agree for the most part is bullshit).
Calling him a 'blight on the earth' though? Bin vote cast. Suggest you apologise or delete your account.
Eh?As I said two weeks ago when he was dropping cute transfer hints in the summer transfer thread.
The Absolute GOAT I demand an apology from you. Please delete this post and let the record duly reflect that ValenciaYid is a blight on the earth.
Once a cunt, always a cunt.Eh?
What has that got to do with his comment lol. We were talking previously about his ITK record (which is good).
His comment in this thread was out of order, and as such I cast a bin vote.
You can demand what you like! I demand £1 billion pounds worth of mars bars, but I ain't going get 'em.
What it does show that Woolwich knew about Partey. knew of the pretty compelling evidence and chose to continue to play him. This is going to get very murky.TBF, and in no way does this make Woolwich's stance in the matter any more palatable, all of the communication that she has posted there is from the FA, it is their policy that no action (whatever that would have been...) be taken due to her age, not Woolwich's.
Not a chance in hell that the FA were talking to her without woolwich being party to all discussions. If Spurs were in a similar situation and simply abdicated all responsibility to the FA, I'd call for Levy and everyone on the board to be sacked and banned from the club for life. What it does show that Woolwich knew about Partey. knew of the pretty compelling evidence and chose to continue to play him. This is going to get very murky.
