Based on what?
I’ve got hard data of two wins in 18 league games!!!!
We are going down. We have pussyhole players. What chance have ya got when a lad won’t play because he has a sore throat??
Lol right? Every metric you can imagine shows we're in the absolute shite. Yet, derangers dismiss it, and get annoyed about relegation talk because we're a big club.

A lot of people can't be objective about their football teams.

The real hypothetical is, if we got relegated and won the Champo would you even celebrate it?
Yes, a trophy is a trophy. I'd even celebrate if we got up through the Playoffs. It's still a Final at Wembley and you have to go through a 46 game league season, an agonising two-legged Semi-Final and a Final to secure the trophy and win promotion.

And, quite frankly, if the boys managed to achieve all that from the wreckage of this season, I would be nothing but incredibly proud of them.

"See..... We're good enough to have avoided a relegation all along.... Now give me a payrise"

What a shitshow indictment of the lack of accountability in modern football. :wall:
Ah, Fixxy. Found you at last, blud.

I was wondering what your thoughts were on the proposed new tifo for the next home game

Dude, we have pussyhole players that can’t play with a sore throat ffs. These cunts would get eaten alive in the championship.
None of these mercenary cunts are staying with us when we drop.
Our first season will be trying not to get relegated again while we figure out the league.
Burnley will go straight back up as champions. It will take us two seasons to get a decent team so we might be back before 2030. Then we have e to spend huge money to try and stay up.
We are so fucked

He doesn’t exactly have a choice, does he? Hes on scraps for wages compared to the rest of the squad, is young and signed long term.

As another poster mentioned somewhere, unless Bayern drop 80 mil at our door, he doesn’t have much to stand on. We hold all of the leverage.
Do we? A mystery injury.... A loss of form.... A constant unsettling attitude and performance

We have zero leverage. No team does

The players have absolutely no confidence so why should we? A four point lead isn't very comforting when only a couple of weeks ago it was 14. I can't get over telling people they should be feeling confident when we've fallen into this position and have only won at home twice all season. Twice. And not a single league win in the first two months of their calendar year.

And as for the 90s, we were bad often but at least the team had some fight about them. They're playing right now like they either don't care or have given up, or both.

Maybe Tudor can instill some spirit. We'll see.
It is one thing to be concerned that we could be relegated but another to assume it will happen and discuss next season’s team. The position we are in is discussed in numerous threads and this one is premature.

You do not get it do you. The very wording of this thread assumes it will happen. I just hope the players do not have this mentality or we are lost.
No, again. If it's a possibility, planning for said possibility is something that indeed happens. Even the club will be doing that right now.

Plan for both eventualites, especially when it's going to be as close as this.

They will be planning commercial impact eg season ticket impact and sponsorship, not first team

Utter bastards

This is what I proposed in one of the other threads:

think we'd see a lot more motivation from them if their contracts stipulated that they had to stay on a 75% wage reduction until either their contract ends or we win back promotion to the Premier League.
No player or agent is signing that contract unfortunately plus it wouldn’t look very good trying to sell the idea of the club to a player , the ambition, the goal etc and then “ oh by the way … if we do get relegated…”

Byfield Phillips Davies
Tchatchoua Bannan Skipp Bueno

Melia McBurnie[/LINEUP]

A mix of players who will stay, players relegated with Wolves, young players and some experienced Championship battlers. This is probably best we can do. Bannan will captain the team. Some good options from the bench. Wilson, Scarlett, Lankshear, Dorrington...

If anyone thinks it will be better than this, you're in for a shock next season if we get relegated. I honestly think this will be the best we can do based on the huge drop in revenue, the need to clear 300m of transfer fees owed and the need to meet EFL PSR not just next season but future seasons. The EFL doesn't accept any team thinking they are going to be promoted to the PL. You have to prove you can survive in the Championship for a sustained period.

I'd like to think that we would be able to stretch to another goalkeeper. Kinsky won't be good enough and there is no way that we can trust either him or Austin with a 46 game league season.

Brian Clough always used to say that a good goalkeeper was worth 30 points a season and I firmly believe that Leicester's relegation in 22/23 was down to their failure to replace Kaspar Schmeichel. Two back-up keepers never works.
