All 3 would probably look garbage eventually, sat in a low block having to defend for 80 percent of the game until mistakes happen and confidence plummets
Despite the shit show of a situation I was very pleased with his performance tonight. Definitely should have been given more minutes than he has been this season.
Good game tonight. Loved his celebration after the block he made.
I’d go with Romero trying, but failing, to look concerned that he’d killed someone, was better. Close run thing though.
yes, the italian coaches adore to play 3-5-2 in Serie A ,are plenty of teams playing this system... with 3 CB ... even Radu Dragusin played for Genoa like this , and he shinned there playing like that , this was the reason for this transfer in England... Romero-Dragusin-VDV ... if was Conte still present nowadays probably team would play like this with Porro (right) and Udogie (left) as complete wing backs...3-5-2Imagine those three in a back three under Conte.

Yes would have been interesting to see the difference in results. Think we would have at least snagged an extra point or 2 in thise games. Shows how big a difference structurally 1 or 2 players can makeImagine our manager played VDV at LB when Udogie got injured instead of :
Davies vs Woolwich resulting in him getting destroyed by Saka for the 2nd goal.
Emerson vs Liverpool resulting in him being at fault for 2 goals.
Skipp vs Burnley resulting in him being at fault for their goal.
It only took Ange all those games (oh and Chavksi where Emerson was atrocious) to realise the sensible option was to play a player that has comfortably played LB before In the LB position and our new CB signing (that he wanted) at CB.
It only took injuries to 2 lb's and shit performances in 4 games to do it.
