In terms of simple math its all safe.

But, i can easilly see those players mentally struggling under this manager while playing under pressure during 6-point game against Leicester, Everton or Ipswich.

Act 1 to be seen on Sunday.

Could get interesting if we lose Sunday
I dont think we’ll go down and definitely don’t want us to go down but would be no tears from me - would mean plenty of new grounds/adventures (never been to the den!!!) some of the football might be dire but could say that of this season

the problem we have is the teams below us except united and probably palace will be gearing up for a relegation battle, if we don’t get going in time, we could find they’ve closed that gap quickly while we’re still hoping it will come good.

Yes I doubt we get relegated, but honestly I am just not so sure right now. If Ange stays I don’t know where the injection is coming from to keep up competitive

We aren't going to get relegated, the points total required for survival is estimated to be ridiculously low this season (28 or something I think?). However we are about to finish the season with around 18/19 losses which is just simply unacceptable, injury crisis or no. Likely a bottom 10 finish for the first time years. I cannot believe how far away we are from competing and when you look at the last 6 finishes it shows that this has been coming: 6th, 7th, 4th, 8th, 5th, likely 15th-11th. Compare this to the previous 10 finishes: 4th, 5th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. We fell off a cliff when we moved into the new stadium.

I do hope we go down. I want ENIC in the mud and I want radical change and that’s likely the only way to weed them out. We can easily cope with relegation financially - tbh I would probably go to every game home and away and enjoy it

You’ve all been conditioned by the PL hype

I want ENIC, Levy and Ange to leave the club but I never want us to be relegated again.

Been through one relegation and don’t want to go through another one again.

Who the fuck spends £3bn on a Championship team? I doubt we lose ENIC if we go down.

"Big" teams who go down don't always come back quickly. Villa took ages to come back. Leeds and Forest were gone for what feels like forever.

Yes it has been coming. While we have invested money we haven't invested most of very well. And lots of players have been through the rotating door in recent seasons having contributed nothing. The old guard of the Potch side that we stumbled across I'm convinced more by luck than judgement and a little bit of scouting magic by Paul Mitchell have now left or in Son's case are in their twilight years.

Levy will never grasp that its better to buy one world class player on big wages for 80+ million than 3-4 30 million pound scrubs.

Many of us on here have seen this decline coming a mile off. I predicted bottom half last season, I wasn't wrong I was just early.

We’ve picked up 11 points from 21 from 7 games against 7 sides below us. If we keep at that level, we’ll be okay.

As things stand at the moment, we’re on the classic trajectory of a club in freefall down the table towards relegation who are perceived as too good to go down. We need a win or two and very soon to arrest the slide.

It is absolutely mad that we have to think like this and be in this position.

It is crazy. We are in the "they are too good to go down" territory now or will be in a month if nothing has changed with the manager.

Lose to Everton and we are right in the mire.
What concerns me is we have no leaders. No one who goes round geeing up the team, getting on the ref's back, winding up the opposition etc
Many on here will recall the relegation season in the 70's. At least we had fighters then - Stevie P, Pratt for example. I remember them leaving the field in tears at Villa when we were almost down. Seen none of that from the current bunch.

People I spoke have said it was a great season - was it not?

Yes, we got back to the old Div 1 again, the following season but that doesn’t mean that I’d want us to be relegated again.

There’s no guarantee that ENIC / Levy will sell the club if we are relegated. It’s also very unlikely that anyone would fork out for a Championship club for a price that ENIC/Levy would want.
