Really, if we did a Rangers and it got rid of ENIC, someone more interested in winning matches would buy us up quick as you like...
Rangers went out of business and were ejected from the league entirely. The "new" Rangers were only allowed to join League Two because let's face it they were dealing with sympathetic footballing authorities and the fact the Scottish pyramid doesn't operate the same as the English one.

If we went entirely out of business we'd need to start again all the way at the bottom of whatever local non league league covers Haringey.

There wouldn't be anything left to buy.

on Talkshite earlier. Some bloke was banging on about how Conte and Jose and Ange and Frank couldn’t get a tune out of this club

I could not help but feel a little insulted by that narrative.

Jose got us to a cup final, finished 6th and was 5 points off top 4 when sacked.

Conte pulled off a miracle in 2022 to get 4th, and making a rabble of a team look strong and classy. He was in the top 4 when he walked.

Whereas Ange and Frank had league positions no one can defend. Ange does have Bilbao though.

So my point is, how do these media pricks manage to mix in relative success with what has gone on this season and say no one can do anything better @ Spurs ? When clearly many have ?

I reckon we fall all the way down to the Isthmian League South with stadium long since sold off, and the team renting a 3G place in Leytonstone
Nah, the plan is becoming obvious: ENIC realises we don't stand a chance of CL qualification in the short to medium term, so they're actually targeting relegation... but they don't want to finish 1st or 2nd in 26/27; they're hoping to bounce back via a playoff win. They've worked out that they can get more income that way (around £200m last year) than in Premier League prize money (we received around £128m 24/25). :sneaky:

- 33 goals conceded in the last 17 games, and an inability to stop this rot despite desperately putting everybody behind the ball week after week

- 2 wins in last 18

- Some of the best players in the team [Romero, VDV] acting like they couldn’t care less, if not planning their exit outright

This is starting to look even worse than 22/23 Leicester, who at least fought until the final day.

These lot look like they’ve given up already.

Media frothing at the mouth now with the thought of it.

We need some wins but I think as a fanbase we are the ones that need to stay calm now rather than whipping up the pressure on the team. Thats what they want. Siege mentality gets us through this especially if nothing has changed in 6 matches time and we are still struggling.

The form tables if you analyse them are very concerning. We were 3rd in the table after 9 games with 5 wins and 17 points. We have picked up just 2 wins and 12 points in last 18 and 0 wins and 4 points from last 9 games.

If you look at last 18 games, we are 3rd from bottom on 12 points. Burnley and Wolves below us on 7 points. Sunderland are 4th bottom, 7 points ahesd of us on 19. Leeds are on 20, Spammers 21, Forest, 22, Palace 22.

If you look at last 9 games since start of 2026, we are bottom on 4 points, only team in the league winless. Wolves and Burnley are both on 7, Forest 9, Palace 9, Leeds 11, Spammers 12.

All our relegation rivals whether you look at last 9 or 18 games are picking up points at a far greater rate than we are. You can see the dog in the likes of Leeds, Spammers and Forest that we seek to be completely lacking.

Question for those of us that don’t think Tudor can make a difference:

Did Conte make a difference when he took over from Nuno?

You’re comparing a manager with zero premier league experience against a premier league title winning manager who had two of the best forwards in the entire history of the football club at his disposal.
And let’s be honest. Conte was the manager Kane wanted while he was making eyes at City realised he wouldn’t get his move and then pretty much went on strike when Nuno took over.

But to make it fair let’s look at the hard facts.
Nuno had won 5 out of 10. Got sacked. 9th best team in the league at the time.
Conte then won 6 out his first 10. Made us the 4th best team in the league over his first 10 games. So yeah he made a difference.

Tudor takes over a team who has won 5 out of the last 24 league games. With a ridiculous injury list and a team at the very bottom of the form table over 12 games. Bottom. Below teams like wolves and Burnley.
As Frank was allowed to run this football team into the ground for some reason.

What difference can he make?? There’s no Kane to inspire. No Son scoring 23 premier league goals. He’s got a bastard job to do.

Do you think he could get us 4th in the form league over the next 10 games. Are you slightly mental???

There really are no comparisons at all for this situation.

Might as well ask you if Ange made a difference when he took over from Nuno at Forest.

Did he??

Tired of this thread being active at the top. How about the Champions League thread? We're somehow staying competitive in the CL, but would prob struggle to get 3 points against the likes of Preston or Hull.
