Amazingly the Liverpool thread has just overtaken this one on number of pages.
I did like the simplicity of the kits when we played both the Mancs - blue or red shirt/white shorts v white shirt/navy shorts - almost Subbuteo-like.
I think it's one of the games we played at the Makita tournament at Wembley in '88.I'm wracking my brain to work out which match that picture is from. The presence of both Waddle and Gascoigne ties it to the 88/89 season and the yellow strip means it's an away game. Off the top of my head, the only ones I consciously remember with us wearing the yellow kit is the opening match at St James's Park and the one in the snow at Hillsborough. We would also have likely worn the strip at Southampton, Luton Town, Derby County, QPR and possibly Coventry City.
Anyone able to shed any light on this?
