I'm not sure, but I think the third from right could be Eddie Clayton, not Bill Brown.Best guess, Les Allen,Maurice Norman, Dave McKay, Bill Brown, Danny Blanchflower, Jimmy Greaves.
Just like that?
AKA The halcyon daysWe didn't win that match 1-0. We lost that match 3-2. One of Gerry Francis's last games in charge. It was a game we could have won but lost and it was followed by a 1-0 home defeat to Leeds before the fateful 4-0 defeat at Anfield that led to Gerry's resignation. Along came Christian Gross and a relegation battle with Everton, Bolton and Barnsley ensued.

was doing some DIY at home and listening to the footie on the radio. Drawing 1-1 at Barnsley when Vega got himself sent off. I really thought that might be it.Along came Christian Gross and a relegation battle with Everton, Bolton and Barnsley
On the pitch after the game.1997-98 is to date my worst season as a fan. Really expected us to kick on with Sir Les and Ginola even after Sheringham's exit. In my youthful naivety I blamed that horrible Pony kit that itched like mad, although I have warmed to the navy away shirt - something Pony always got correct during their short contract IMO.
I forget much of the season now but fully remember the very dark mood surrounding it. The 6-2 win against Wimbledon might be in my top 10 matches of all time though. Was so happy when we saw off relegation and getting to see the Ginola and Kilnsmann combo click. Rare treat in a very bleak year.
No, definitely Bill Brown.I'm not sure, but I think the third from right could be Eddie Clayton, not Bill Brown.

Second paragraph sums up the situation and then the mood after. That part of south London was my manor and there were 6-8 of us on the day. Loads of Spurs in the pubs. Ground must’ve been 7/8 Tottenham.1997-98 is to date my worst season as a fan. Really expected us to kick on with Sir Les and Ginola even after Sheringham's exit. Not sure why it needs to do that. I grew up in that era as well, and despite our poor league performance, there were some great moments thanks to players like Dominguez.
