I loved Cyril, he and Joe Kinnear were a great pair of attacking full backs and didnt sacrifice their defensive duties. I remember a spectacular OG though by Cyril, lobbed Pat from miles out. Can't remember who it was against unfortunately.

71/72 was the season i really started to go to watch spurs (first game was Sheff Wed in 69) so that 71/72 team are always close to my heart

told the story before, god knows how we got to the ground
i was 11 first yr of senior school and took a girl (sandra morat) at school's younger brother (think he was 8 or 9) walked to Ockendon stn then from south tottenham stn to the ground

remember those runs from the ground on night matches to south tottenham stn so we get to upminster in time for last train to Ockendon

Looks like Hughes, Yeats, St John, Smith and Lawler for Liverpool, with Lawrence between the sticks. Lawler's goalscoring record as a full back was quite amazing.
