If what happened to us?

What 50/50's?
It was a clean game because Villa were so shit.
Even the bentest ref in the world would struggle to give a free kick for Spurs winning a loose ball.

If West Ham had played Villa and they rested 7 players, people on here would be crying conspiracy -

There were a few 50/50 decisions - we tended to get the rub of the green -

Interesting how you point out 'cos villa were so shit'

I imagine that's what every other team said about games where the ref was on our case for most of the game.

I think people need to just get over this nonsense - we have been absolute dogshit all season, chasing goals and shadows. It makes us need to tackle more, be more reckless and concede more fouls and get more cards.

Sure some big decisions have not gone our way - but there is no conspiracy, just a shit team, playing shit, defending shit and being shit.

Agreed. Though I do think refs may have a view of Romero that colours decisions.

Also, most fans haven't yet realised how much better RDZ has already made us ... so they were scratching their heads at the Villa result, and screamed "fix!"

I think you're working more than just a little overtime to deny the dismal reffing we have been a party to all season.

You only need to watch a whole match every week to see it.

There was a lot of "Villa were so poor" comments - but not many "Spurs strangled them and didnt give them a foothold in the game" .

Which is what I saw.

Hard to say how much was Villa not turning up, and how much was us not letting them - itll be a mix of both - but not the one sided nonsense the press have been going with.

We were excellent, didnt give them an inch, and deservedly won

And Im delighted at how RDZ made his point on that

Most paid pundits are driving this narrative.
Whether it's deliberate or just because they're dribbling idiots I can't say.
But they are driving this frenzy.
If West Ham go down, it's not because Villa made some changes. It's because their 1st team, who they've had available all season, is worse than our threadbare 2nd team.

I watch about 6 games a week mate - reffing is dismal in 90% of them.
Dismal is one thing. Deliberate is another.
Most of us could live with it if we got a bunch of free kicks we were never entitled to during a match. But that just isn't the case.
It's even worse when VAR check some of the bigger ones and uphold the obviously wrong/contradictory decision.

Happens to every club - can name incidents for nearly all of them - its not deliberate lol

I do think it happens to every club to different extents but some of the decisions directly affecting us this season have been so bad that you can't help but question motives.

Just think about the Liverpool goal allowed against us. Neville on comms saying that Romero needs to be stronger.
Then...
Look at the Kolo incident against Woolwich. Neville on comms saying that Gabriel is entitled to react to contact on his back.
Add in the Fulham goal when Drag had contact and all of a sudden contact is ok again.

Look at the Spam 'handball' that wasn't given a couple of weeks ago.

There's biases always involved cos refs are human but what I can't stand is those biases surviving through VAR checks. I was ok with refs getting things wrong when it was just them. Now they and VAR get blatant things wrong.

The other incident that sums up the Premier League for me these days is the ending of the Liverpool v City match. The refs did everything right on that final incident. They followed the letter of the law correctly. Goal was disallowed correctly. Liverpool player correctly sent off. But all Neville could complain about on commentary was how the drama had been ruined!

Drama is more important than the laws of football to these people. It's no wonder the product is declining.

Palhinha, Bentancur and Gallagher would all be a positive influence for the young midfielders under De Zerbi. We could give each of the young guys great opportunities by playing one of them alongside 2 of the experienced players on a kind of rotational basis. Keeps everyone fresh as well.
Won't happen - far too logical ;)

Then again, RDZ is a different animal to the ones we've had recently, maybe he'll make the logical decisions, we can only hope.

Surely the Robertson signing is more about driving player standards and general leadership rather than on-field 1st choice competition.

That is why I wanted us to sign him in January, because I could see we needed those characters. If we stay up do we need it as much? Guess who else we bring in but we need to be careful we dont pad out the squad too much with having no European football. It is hard enough getting players out the club at the best of times.

Maybe it's not the same thing but it has the same result and that's everyone talking about Villa's 7 changes, and no one talked about Tottenham's 7 senior injuries (Kudos, Xavi, Kulu, Madison, Solanke, Odebert, Romero).
The sides were pretty evenly matched based on numbers absent.

No one in the Media will be crying when Palace play the reserves on the last game of the season against the Goons, there is also a £10 million pound bonus in the Eze Contract if Gooners win the league, I bet no one questions the integrity of Palace though ?
Also Look at Forest, they fielded a weakened team and won, its bollox and this kind of Agenda is only so loud when its against us!

Yeah, agreed.

Forest rested players against the filth. No fcuking different, because the filth's rivals had they won could have been up in arms.

Palace will inevitably rest players before they play that lot and most likely again when they play City next week.

The noise is always louder when it's us, not just perceptuvely but in reality.

As for the decisions this season, it's beyond bad luck, but either way, let's just find a way to secure our safety.

It's like RDZ said = "resting 7 players" isn't fielding a B team.

I can help question the motives. I understand why others cant. Its natural to seek answers to things in that way.

Like I said, i see inconsistencies in every single game, the way one is reffed vs another.

So either the whole game is crooked or not.... but there certainly is not a single team being singled out like some are making out about us.

One team, every year, gets more shit decisions against them than others.

Some may argue Woolwich were 'targeted' last year because of their sending off for second yellows for kicking the ball away twice....

I just see no evidence that this is the case when looking at every game played
