Does it even matter?
Thats fine. Its just an opinion thats all.
We’ll see wont we lol being down there hinders him progressing as a top manager. And i dont believe he will have a bar of the champo.
People think he was hired to build a project for 5 years. He wasnt. He has been hired by these cretins in hope that it would make a statement of getting a last ditch reaction out of these players as obviously the “interim” thing clearly wasnt working was it?
Essentially its another panic decision they hope will pay off. And im not saying im not happy we have De Zerbi here, he is probably the best we could have got right now, but it very well could be all too late now.
His entire demeanour in pressers, intervews, touchline has felt a bit low energy and subdued by his standards. Maybe because we gave him an offer he couldn't refuse and he wasnt quite ready. After watching de zerbi on the touchline yesterday I'm really doubting he'll be up for the challenge of managing in the champo. He looked pretty subdued and resigned to it all. We really don't need someone going through the motions next season. If he's motivated then great, if not I hope he just resigns in the summer. Howe would probably take the job if he's sacked by newcastle and something tells me he'd be a better fit for the league we're going to be playing in.
Resign and giving up £60m yeah? lol
I'll have whatever you're smoking mate
He wouldn't be giving up £60m. It's not like if he left us he would decide to just sit around watching homes under the hammer for the five years he would have been with us. He'll just pick up another job earning a shit ton of money.
Did we at any stage look like really going for it in that game. Like for example how Leeds were up for it yday. Surely the manager, coaches, players and all the board if they watched Leeds last night must be embarrassed and ashamed of what they have all done. The players defo should look at that and think have they put the same effort in and played for the fans. Who pay the highest prices in the PL yet the players have only provided 2 home wins all season. How can they look in the mirror. Heads need to roll with compo. In hindsight we should kept Ange for first 3 months at least. No point replacing him with someone inferior like Frank. I wanted Ange gone but not for Frank. We needed a serious upgrade to take us forward. At best Frank would have just kept us a float playing shit football. Is that what the club really wanted. Sure wasnt what the fans wanted. Gross mid management and negligence by those in charge. No number 10/attacking midfielder.
It was a the same sort of line up - that's cost us all year.
It wasn't the point you made. He's not giving up £60m if he resigns is he. He's just giving up the difference between what we pay him and whatever his next job pays him.
I think it would have to be a pretty large difference to convince him to stay considering he's looked like a hostage every time he's talked since joining us.

Does it really though? At the end of the day its football 11v11 which makes a change from the PL where its often 11v12 & VAR , but if we are being honest surely having a Top manager like RDZ would mean we would have an advantage over the other teams, even Thomas Frank managed to do alright down there, I'm not saying we will bounce straight back up as that is stupid to say, however as a club we should be using our financial advantage to give us every advantage possible
The advantage De Zerbi has in accepting the job now, is that come next season (whichever league we are in) he would have had six games and many training sessions to assess who he wants to keep going into nest season.
He possibly already knows which players will be going, those likely to want to force a move and may already be planning for transfer targets give a worse case scenario.
Like a pre-season for pre-season. Sensible.I think it's good to have a manager preview the attitude, ability, and reliability of players before a summer. Had enough of new managers coming in and thinking the likes of Kaboul/Capoute/Adebayor are "the leadership team" and not the toxic crew, and in this instance whatever our current titanic crew is
Anyone with eyes might have concluded that Vertonghen was one of those pre-Poch, it's not just a case of deducing who's been shit and apathetic to now, some of them are redeemable and it needs to be established who they are.Like a pre-season for pre-season. Sensible.
I mean anyone with eyes can see who the lazy, problem players are. It's harder to see who isn't lol.
So true!!I think a lot bridges were burned with this squad both ways when a siege mentality was developed against our own fans, that stupid huddle at HT to walk off the pitch in solidarity, and a fucking idiot gaffer that was a wallaby's whisker away from having a full on punch up with the fans on more than one occasion...
Some of these players have seen that and gotten a chip on their shoulder that makes remaining here untenable I think.
Probably…there will be plenty of interest
