Amazing how easy it is to score when there is literally no defence.

Capoue is in a team fighting to avoid relegation. They're set up to defend.

Heh, interesting points. Soldado did get lucky to some extent, but also had the presence of mind to keep onside at the ball was played back into the box as the opposition defence pushed up following their clearance. He could easily have either been offide as the ball came in, or stayed with the defence pushing up and missed the opportunity. Would he have got that opportunity at Spurs? Possibly not, as teams don't tend to press up as a unit against us because of our high line.

As for Capoue, if Watford can set up defensively then why can't we do the same when we take a lead that we need to protect either because of the margin or the time left on the clock? Would Watford's approach not be correct for when we went 2-0 up against Stoke, or 1-0 up against Leicester? Instead, we maintain the same defensively risky system and reaped the consequences. One problem with that of course, is that we've sold the two players best suited to shutting down opposition attacks in Stambouli and Capoue.

Watching the game yesterday while at the pub and Soldado was involved in everything.

At Spurs it seemed like he was either chasing lost causes all the time, or snatching at chances whenever they rarely arrived.

He will get so many more opportunities in La Liga as the defending is so poor, plus he looked so much more confident.

Go Bobby Go!

I dont understand what you're getting at with Soldado mate. It was fairly obvious for most of the last two years that he wasn't suited to the premier league. Teams sit deep against us, thats probably why he had a much better time in the europa.

As for Capoue, you're right of course. The Stoke goals, well the first one was pretty unavoidable, unless Toby doesnt make that mistake. The second one, we were under the cosh a bit. What we needed then was a bit more experience in the team, I'm not sure Capoue would have made much difference. Capoue seems to have been part of the french speaking troublemaker group judging by those that have left.

The thing is, its pointless thinking what if and what could have been. The players we have are the players we've got. Its literally a waste of your time and energy fighting against it. Just enjoy it. Wherever we finish this season, it doesnt matter. Two months later it all starts again anyway.

Such a weak minded player.

Doesn't have anything to do with the system, or the 'philosophy' or any of that shit. Has everything to do with him being homesick and mentally weak.
