Player Rodrigo Bentancur

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What are you on about? He doesn’t have any issues in dealing with the pace of the EPL.
You’re missing the point, of course.
I honestly can’t be bothered to spell it out.
So, let me just say:
<sarcasm>
No, there’s no difference between the pace at Serie A and the EPL.
Players never benefit from the experience of playing more games. None of the better players ever improve with more EPL experience </sarcasm>

I hope this helps.

Nearly gave me a heart attack at the time that did! I think we are going to have to accept with him that every now and then he will get caught on the ball and we will occassionally get punished. It needs someone like him though that is confident and composed enough to get away with it most of the time as it is that sort of risk that is opening play up for us in the middle
Absolutely , taking risks is what good players do

The key here is having the requisite quality to justify taking said 'risk'..... If you do then, it's less of a risk to begin with.

However, bearing in mind he could have easily played the ball back to Hugo for a clearance; there's def. a discussion that can be had as to whether or not it was a risk worth taking.

The Berbatov of midfield, has a languid style and is very composed in possesion, always looks like he has a lot of time on the ball which is the hallmark of a good player.

Guy plays on the edge doesn’t he

You know what...this is what we wanted Ndombele to do but he didn't do it consistently, act as a sponge on the ball and reel players in then release the ball to someone like Kane for us to go on attack, we have literally been starved of this kind of midfielder for 3 years.

He will get better as he gets acclimated to his new club and league. There is no doubt. The pace is a non-issue for Benta.

If Kane hits a better ball into Son after receiving it from Bentancur, that’s another hockey assist for Rodrigo off the back of taking that risk.

Can't recall what the scoreline was at the time, but whilst I'm not outright criticising RBs decision; if he'd not pulled that off and we'd conceded we could be having a very different conversation right now.

i hear you on this... was silky, but high risk... im risk averse by default so would have prefered the safer option... until it doesn't come off good luck to him.... but when that happens im wondering if he'll adjust his style? also, the pile on will be magnifique...

Oh I absolutely didn’t take it as an outright criticism.

He’ll get it wrong at some point, but I feel like he’s not doing it indiscriminately and when he needs you’ll be safety first, it’s safety first. When it goes wrong, and it will, I think it’ll be easy to forgive in the context of the benefit it gives our play that he’s even able to pull out off.

He didn't do so well with moves like that against Utd though.
Credit to him though, he bounced back with his next two performances.
Let's hope it was just a blip
