Fly, my beauty...... FLY!

2 big goals this week.

3G / 2A this season......

4As last half season.

He's got an eye for a pass...... Not consistent on that front, but he's still got years of improvement left in him.

Playa.
Such small numbers can be a statistical anomaly, goals like the one against Bournemouth doesn't necessarily go into the "scores goals now" category, but that cross to PEH against Everton definitely does.

He’s a less powerful, more technical dembele.
I don’t think they’re similar players stylistically, except that they’re both wonderful technicians.

But they’re both subtle players in their grace, impact, and ability. When you watch them over a long period you see how impactful and valuable they are. Even more so, you profoundly notice their absence when they don’t play.

I don't expect him to be a regular scorer; but (like PEH) if he chips in then it's a further string to his bow...... And I expect him to get better (still not even been here a year yet!).

Fact is the pair of them have a big engine, work hard and make things happen.

Yes ... and no !

If you look at both Bentancur and Hojbjerg, both have now got 3 goals and 2 assists so far this season - 5 goal involvements each,

And if they repeat that in the 2d half of the season, each will get 10 goal involvements in the season, and 20 goal involvements in the season

A few years ago we were one of the few teams to have 4 players with 20+ goal involvements each season for about 4 or years (Kane, Son, Erikson and Dele) whilst the CM's generated very few.

So getting a CM pairing able to generate 20 goal involvements a season is excellent news - if we can get 3 others with 20+ goal involvements a season out of our 4 main forwards, Kane, Son, Kulusevski or Richarlison then we get back into a good place with a number of goal scoring threats which is difficult for the opposition to defend against.

How many per season did Wanyama & Dembele score and assist between them? Bugger all mostly.
