Hopefully it's just a ploy to get a fee out of him in the summer

Blatantly Levy already offered this before he was booted out,
This contract will end up being one that prevents us doing squad building that we really need to improve.
Either that or it means we can’t make Palinha permanent
The year is 2050 andDitch the gymnastics.
If we didn't want to sign him; we wouldn't... We could have just let his deal run out this summer if we'd chosen to.

Im on board with this. You can’t get a better player than him nowadays for less than 30M.
The year is 2050 andRichard Arlison is still blaming Levy for squad issues while sat in his death chair waiting for his boiled cabbage soup.

Ditch the gymnastics.
If we didn't want to re-sign him; we wouldn't... We could have just let his deal run out this summer if we'd chosen to.

Sure he needs upgrading, but he’d make a useful squad rotation option and if nothing else it protects his transfer value rather than letting him leave on a free. Why did we want to resign him?
Makes no sense other than it’s cheaper than buying a better CM
No idea, but they’ve done that on a few recent contract announcements.
The club have stopped releasing contract lengths, it's really annoying.
Yeah, I agree. Bent is not a player who will get us in the mix for the title or CL, and we should be asking that of every signing now.Friggin ridiculous decision, what a joke. Bunch of clueless clowns the lot of them. And they wanna be taken seriously...fuck that.
May as well extend Biss & Richy while they're at it. And re-sign Bryan Gil, Aurier, Janssen and Chiriches.
Surely you have to understand that there is not an infinite amount of money and we cannot spend big to get the best player at every position. It's this kind of attitude that guarantees we will never push on.
Levy has turned our fan base into a bunch of accountants. I don't give a shit how much someone costs, I want the best player for the job
It is now but back when you started supporting Spurs did you give a shit about player contract lengths? The club have stopped releasing contract lengths, it's really annoying.
Well no but it's pretty useful to have that context for the squad. Devine and Abbott both signed new deals in the summer, a 1 year extension or a 5 year deal tell very different stories on how the club views them.It is now but back when you started supporting Spurs did you give a shit about player contract lengths?
Probably not is my guess.
