His ability to relieve pressure with one-two touch play makes shit teammates look less shit, in a way that stat isn't surprising at all.

I think he's not what we need. He's too defensive minded and we have players like that already. Offers next to nothing in an attacking sense and isn't a game changer.

It was unfair to Bergvall to saddle him with Player of the Season as a token of contempt for the squad last year and it was unfair to Gray to do the same this year. Sends entirely the wrong message to those young guys learning their craft.
It's also a result of holding the voting before the season is over, they shouldn't do that.

We're gonna release Biss, Sarr should be sold (imo), Palhinha seems to be off to Sporting, Gray and Bergvall can't be relied on yet and I'm not convinced by Gallagher in a deeper position. Bentancur's literally the only CM we can genuinely rely on week-in, week-out in the entire squad. Zero chance we buy enough new CMs to be comfortable without him.
We absolutely need to be buying some higher quality mids, though, to complement him and, eventually, replace him.
