Should we make Romero permanent?

Yes 100% Leicester have gone to pieces since his injury.
What about the other 3 I mentioned.
PS Evans cost Leicester 3-4 million 3 seasons ago good value for money would you not agree
Lewis Dunk is 30, still has 3 years on his contract so wouldn't be cheap and he supports Chelsea so probably wouldn't even want to come plus he's brighton's captain
Coady is 29, still has 3 years on his contract so wouldn't be cheap and he's the Wolves captain
Konsa would be a decent signing and he's only 24. But he was signed for £12m and now starts pretty much every game and still has 4 years on his contract so he would probably cost close to the same fee as Romero. Maybe worth that though since he would be homegrown too but would want him as well as Romero, not instead of!

Jury is out. Let's wait and see at the end of the season - the last thing we need is another 50m error prone centre half.

Defoe supported Woolwich he didn't turn out bad.
I just think 40+ million is far too much for us to pay for Romero the Premier league needs a more dominant centre half and we need a leader at the back not a follower

Who is better that we can realistically get?

Realistically being the key word, not fantasy football.

No doubt a number of names will be floated by those here that watch an extreme amount of European football; but as is so often the case once the window opens it will suddenly become apparent that 1 or more of the bigger/richer clubs have them on their radar too or that the club just isn't ready to sell yet.....

(Vlahovic being a classic example of both scenarios within the last 6 months.)

.......Thus Romero was a freak scenario that we rightfully jumped upon and we'd be reliant upon something similar happening this summer.

Let's face it we still need another top CB; so what's the chance of lightning striking not only twice, but THREE times in 12 months(*).

(*....Yet some think it's a great idea for us to finish 8th; as if that won't affect our ability to attract players!)

The jury is still out on Romero, partially because of some of the aerial duels he's lost. But Spurs will need 2 quality CB this summer if they don't take up their option on Romero. And quality CBs won't come cheap - unless Paratici can "discover" some hidden CB talent, like Leverkusen and Leipzig seem to be doing every so often.
