My point was, if I were a player of colour, making Fans of a club (SOME of whom ARE clearly racist) happy each week (by being part of a winning team) I'd have a problem with it...

I think our differences stem from the fact you appear to me to be absolving Rudiger of any personal responsibility for the ongoing situation and allowing him to have no liability for the consequences of his actions and words. Whereas you expect all other parties involved to shoulder those burdens. He gets a free ride but no one else does. Which just doesn’t seem fair in my eyes.
