Just biding his time until he gets the call from Levy in April 2025...It is a very strange one he's on the coaching role under ever guy that comes in
I do think he's just very loyal to Spurs though.

Kind of. He's also earning, what, £250k a year to help with training. Not a bad career at all.Ryan Mason as a coach is a bit like when you see some washed up runners-up for Britain's got talent performing at Butlins.
Tragic.
Fuck me. That's 25 grand a cone!Kind of. He's also earning, what, £250k a year to help with training. Not a bad career at all.
Hehe I nearly put "earns £250k* putting out cones" but I thought that was mean. I think he's probably an adequate part of the coaching team but we definitely need some proper tactical coaches.Fuck me. That's 25 grand a cone!
I like Mason, he seems like a good guy, but we're not good enough and I genuinely don't know if he fits anymore.
No. I'd like a competent set piece coachAccording to Gold, Christian Stellani was our defensive set piece coach the previous 2 years, and also he and Conte changed from man marking to Zonal during their time here. And there was nothing too poor about our defending of corners under Conte.
which is exactly the same as what's happening now, no defensive set piece coach, just someone of the coaching team handles it as well as their other coaching.
also Ryan Mason is nothing to do with defensive set pieces. Also of interest i thought is that Villa are statistically worse at set pieces than us this season .
But there you go anyway, Stellani is still out of a job so we can get him back if you like
It's not mean if we're losing and playing like dogshit. That's why he gets the big money. We have to have *somewhere* to pour our frustration.Hehe I nearly put "earns £250k* putting out cones" but I thought that was mean. Most of us hated the drilled rigidity of Mourinho and Conte but the other extreme is a liability.
* A pure guess
Always need someone in the business you can trust. Player morale is important at any club. That’s a bit paranoid but same time Levy is a control freak so he’d love to have an inside man in the coaching staff.
I just think it’s better for Ryan and Ange if he pursues his chances in the real world

Right, but you have no evidence that he isn't a decent coach other than he wasn't a great player - which, again, means nothing. You don't know that he hasn't earned the right to have a role. What he does as a coach is behind closed doors, so unless you're monitoring training you're merely speculating that he's not a good coach out of general frustration and preconceived notions because you don't like the cut of his jib.the point is, youd get it it was a big ex player as they at the very least demand respect. mason doesnt, he hasnt earned the right to have an important role in any way shape or form.

I honestly can't recall another coach being discussed like this on this forum. Just weird, honestly.
Butlins and Spurs are quite alike in many waysRyan Mason as a coach is a bit like when you see some washed up runners-up for Britain's got talent performing at Butlins.

youre the exact type of person they bank on having support from. fucking naive. how could he of earned it? hes 32, no previous experience where hes worked his way up...the football has been shit for years (bar moments from kane individual brilliance etc)... how the fuck has he earned his role. hes there out of sympathy its as simple as that. but yea, lets let 32 year old ryan mason with fuck all experience continue with an important role at a club that generates top 10 revenue in the world. get little winksy in next when he has a career ending injury.Right, but you have no evidence that he isn't a decent coach other than he wasn't a great player - which, again, means nothing. He should have….analyse other teams’ set pieces and instruct both players and coaches how to combat themCorrect me if i'm wrong but Gianni Vio did not work on defensive set pieces.
United employs a Craig Mowson as GK coach, who spent his career in League 2 and until 2019 was an academy coach at Burnley. And their attacking coach is Benni McCarthy, the "storied" Blackburn forward for all of 3 seasons.youre the exact type of person they bank on having support from. fucking naive. how could he of earned it? hes 32, no previous experience where hes worked his way up...the football has been shit for years (bar moments from kane individual brilliance etc)... how the fuck has he earned his role. hes there out of sympathy its as simple as that. but yea, lets let 32 year old ryan mason with fuck all experience continue with an important role at a club that generates top 10 revenue in the world. get little winksy in next when he has a career ending injury.
id expect a club like tottenham to have some of the best coaches in the world...they generate the revenue to warrant that...you telling me that ryan mason is that?
if we was norwich it would be acceptable...its meant to be tottenham hotspur. billion pound stadium, 'meant' to be fighting for major honours, pulls in more money than 99.9% of clubs...handing out important roles to unqualified people...stinks!
you wouldnt see man united give luke chadwick an important coaching role and they are a shambles.
more spursyness...son captain, ryan mason assistant coach spursyyyyyyy
Both their seasons over in October?...
Don't think denigrating a CL winner and title winner in a couple of different leagues is the way to defend a player who never kicked a ball for his country or in the CL and who left here to join Hull.United employs a Craig Mowson as GK coach, who spent his career in League 2 and until 2019 was an academy coach at Burnley. Liverpool has Pepijn Linders who never even played senior football, was a coach for AVB at Porto then went to Liverpool under Rodgers and hasn't left.
I don't have time to turn over other teams' rocks, but suffice to say you're completely wrong about what it takes to be a good coach and how clubs go about identifying and hiring coaches. Being a great top flight player doesn't mean you'll make a good coach, and, statistically, actually makes it less likely.
On the list of reasons we've had a shit spring, Mason is nearer the bottom than the top.
